Yes, it happens, but pickings are slim.
Better: Go down to the shopping center from the main dining area.
In front of the baskins & robins usually are a couple of girls.
After closing walk to the China world outside (close to Starbucks and KFC).
Ann, an older chinese lady will approach you. very cute young girls available!!!
But she is greedy: she wants 1000 to 2000 st. Girl gets 400 for LT, so bargain hard!!

Brought in the same girl yesterday. Picked her up in front of the hotel, and we walked in together. One hotel employee talked to her, but actually we just crossed the lobby and walked a bit around in the shopping mall. When we returned she walked up to the reception desk; left her ID and filled out some kind of form. At the elevators she handed over a piece of this form to the employee and that’s all.
I guess the day before (12:30PM); we were just too fast for a sleepy employee to check what was going on .

It happens definitely in Traders. I’m in here now for 2 days. The first night it was about midnight, when I asked the bellboy to write me an address in Chinese for the taxi. On the opposite of the reception desk are some sofas, where a single girl made eye contact with me, but as I wanted to go somewhere else, I did not check out.
Yesterday I went through the lobby 'bout 9:30pm; there were 2 girls on the sofa. (Well, one you could totally forget about). Actually I was heading towards the shopping mall in WTC, when I noticed that there is a live Band in T-Bar, so I turned back, at that moment I saw that the nicer one was already on my pursuit.
After 2 beers in T-bar (10:30pm), I walked out towards shopping mall, there where 3 girls on the couch, and one busy with her cell-phone just in the entrance of the shopping mall.
About 12:30 I came back with another girl, but entered the hotel from the other side, so I don't know if there was still activity. My "escort" says she’s not sure about, but it could be that there is some hassle after 11:00pm, at least if the girls are without companion. Nevertheless I had not a problem to bring her in.

The girl I met on my second trip to PEK in the HRC I still see. I pay her 1k RMB a night (which is still a bit over the top) but she is always there and does crazy things......I count her among my friends. Only reason I picked up the girl from Trader's was I had lent my friend to a friend lol.......) she said "you make me feel like dirty girl"....... actually nothing could be truer lol!

Unfortunately that has happened to me too many times. It is the main reason why one should never pay first. these girls are the ones that think the world owes them something. but usually I let them off of the hook because I don't to deal with all of the unpleasant whining.

On my last trip to Beijing I was just leaving the Traders Bar to go back to the China World when I got approached by a real cutie in the lobby area. She asked for 2000 RMB short time and I laughed and the best I could get her to agree to was 1000 RMB for 2 hours. I walked away, but afterwards thought what the hell and went back.

We went back to my hotel and it was lucky I had a sense of humour. On the up side she was sweet and had a 10 body (well for a Chinese girl if you like small and cute). On the down side she really wanted it to be over in 5 minutes and whinged a lot so after about half an hour I sent her away. I pointed out I had paid for 2 hours and she said that most men came straight away (not me after a few beers lol).

Anyway, I put it down to experience, but the sad thing is the experience was so forgetable I can't remember her name, so I can't warn you all about her.

I have never been in the bar in the Traders past about 9.30, but I imagine something might turn up. The two other Shangri La group hotels in the China World complex (the China World and the Kerry Centre) have some action, the China World in the Lobby (it's pretty discrete, just wait for someone to make eye contact - I think later is better, saw a real cutie there last time I stayed). The Kerry Centre has girls in the Bar (excellent jazz band btw).

I have been approached by a cute girl coming out of the Traders, so it must happen in there! I have also a few times been approached walking between the Traders and and the Kerry Centre (past the China World Tower 3 building site....which will contain yet another Shangri La hotel!).

Just keep your eyes open......something usually turns up! The girls have to be discrete though.

I have a regular that I met a few trips back in the HRC.....if all else fails go there....it is only about 10 mins in a cab from Traders. There are lots of other places, but I don't get out much...sorry.

I'll be there next week, I'll report anything new I find.
