police impersonator was arrested after he tried to bluff his way inside what he thought was a massage parlor in Bensonhurst, authorities said.
Vincenzo Ciricione, 25, was allegedly tampering with the front door of a building on 86th Street near Bay 20th Street shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday when a startled occupant opened the door and confronted him.
He demanded to be let inside, and when the occupant refused, he told her he was a cop, authorities said.
The suspect was still trying to talk his way inside when the woman's husband arrived home and told him to get lost, sources said.
The "officer" then climbed into a car with four other men and drove off, sources said.
The husband followed in his vehicle, called 911, and directed real cops to Bay Ridge Parkway and 19th Avenue, where they stopped Ciricione's Toyota Camry and questioned him.
He allegedly told police he and his pals were celebrating a friend's birthday and were looking for a massage parlor.
He claimed the resident had told him, "The whorehouse is next door."
He was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation and attempted criminal trespass, authorities said.
