Most likely the zona wasn't shut down on Feb 12 over some monger having a OD or heart attack.....not for four hours anyway. ( it would have been reported somewhere)

However, Pocodinero's wife may have came home late and told Pocodinero a story, and the story may have involved a cop, but being detained wouldn't be the reason if you know what I mean?

Then again I doubt Pocodinero has a real wife or a store in the alley selling clothes to Mexican hookers.

I've been to la zona dozens of time in the last 10 or so years and never had any problems. Well maybe just that time when some crack ho wouldnt leave me alone on my way to AB but I was able to shake her off. I go alone most of the time and if any girl asks I always say I'm with a group of buddies that are in the restroom or kicking it outside. If you dont look for trouble you should be safe.

( Fact ) On Feb 12th my wife was detained by the local PD from leaving her business in the Alley . All of Zona was shut down and she could not leave . It was a crime scene ; no one in and no one out.

Information received is it appears that some individual either OD or had a heart attack in HK and the remains were ( as customary ) hauled out to the street ( Alley ) much like trash.

A two square block area was shut down until 10:30 PM to 2: 30 AM the next day. This should be expected input on this blog but for some reason it is not.

id safe it's as safe it was before all the problems began. ive been there about 4 times in the last 6 months, including this past sunday, and things seem normal too me.
however i always travel with a buddy just in case.

Everyone has their own idea of what is safe.

I would just say to be more aware of what is going on around you, and don't multi-task. I see and hear about guys getting their cell phones stolen when they are in deep conversation and forgetting about their surroundings.

Sure taking a taxi and and out helps, but stay focused when walking around.

I don't think the zona has been unsafe for the last year. Parts of TJ were definitely not safe but if you taxi to AB and back then your odds are very good at having a safe trip. I have not experienced any problems following that strategy.
