Tips on introducing a new cat to the house (PLEASE READ)?

Okay, I have a cat already. She's an outdoor cat, and about 7-9 years old.
She hates other animals.
She was a stray at first, and is a bit violent.
Today at the pet store, I met this wonderful cat who is probably 2 or 3, maybe older. She's very nice and calm.
NOW
I tried one time bringing a kitten into the house. My cat stopped coming to our house a lot.
I gave the kitten to my cousins, and she started coming back.
I don't want this to happen again because I love my current cat to death.

So, what should I do to introduce them and get them used to each other if I do adopt the cat?

1.You should make sure your old cat has all its injections up to date
2.but your old cat in one half of the house and the new cat in the other part so they do not see each other for 7-10 day or until new cat is settled down and old cat is just acting normal
3.from a distance let the cants just SEE each other repeat this for a couple days
4.bring them together so they can smell and see each other but can not touch (eg carrier fly screen door) repeat this for a couple day or untill they both act calm
5.bring the two cats together and supervise let them eat together and poo or pee in the same area (this will let them recognize each other sent)
6.you should have very happy cats

put the other cat (the kitten that is new) into a crate for a day with food and water, and plenty of it.make sure it is big enough for a small liter box.put it in your room (make sure it is your room because the cat might need something)by your door. remove any draft guards so the cats can smell each other.make sure the outdoor cat is inside.if any loud mewling disputes break out, make sure the kitten is still in it`s crate.if she is, leave it. they are just working out the alpha cat and who's not.keep the kitten in the crate there for one day. no longer else it will get bored(make sure you spend more time with your alpha cat them your new one)of being there.let it out of the crate, not the room.let them have a closer encounter to each other.but make sure they are not swiping.the next day is for the closest. put both cats in a crate each.( the biggest mistake you could ever make is to put them in a crate together.)put the crates about two feet apart and see how they react. put the kitten back in your room and the cat in the house. tomorrow let them meet.
