Organize your coupons by category so you can find them quickly.
Shop at stores that double your coupon value.
You can use one cents off coupon and one 'free coupon' for the same purchase.
For example: Cheerios are on sale for $2.00.
You have 2, 40 cents off 1 box, coupons
You have 1, buy one get one free, coupon
You shop at a double coupon store.
Your savings will be as follows. You can use both coupons for .40 off and they are both doubled to .80 savings per box, then you can add to that the buy one get one free coupon.
$2.00 x 2 = $4.00 for 2 boxes of Cheerios
Less .80 per box for the 2 double coupns = 1.60 off for coupons
Total is $2.40 so far....for 2 boxes of cereal.
Then add the buy one get one free coupon = $2.00 off
So your total for 2 boxes of cereal will be 40 cents!
**You cannot combine different cents off coupons for the same item. But, you can combine a cents off and a buy one get one. When you do this, you will really save!
**Don't be in a hurry when you shop. Take your time and watch the sales and compare them to the coupons that you have.
**You can clip the coupons from the paper, and print them online from sites like:
http://coupons.redplum.com/CouponMom/
http://www.couponnetwork.com/printable-coupons
http://www.befrugal.com/printable/grocerรขโฌยฆ
www.coupons.com
www.couponsuzy.com
**Never go into a store without your coupons. Keep them in your car, take them out and organize, and immediately put them back in the car.
**Another way to save is by taking your own bags into the supermarket. I have several of the canvas reusable bags that I use. You can also reuse the plastic or paper bags that the stores give you. Many stores will give you cents off your purchase for each bag you reuse.
**Just remember that pennies and dimes add up. It is AMAZING how much you can save with coupons!!
**If you like to dine out, I would recommend checking out the site www.restaurant.com. When you sign up with the site you receive their savings emails. I always wait until the certificates are 80% off. I often get $25 gift certificates for less than $1.
**Anything you purchase online is often eligible for a rebate. Go to www.ebates.com and sign up. If you go through this site and then link to your purchase site (like restaurant.com, ebay or WalMart, etc) you will receive a quarterly rebate on everything you purchase online. It is so easy to use and those cents off rebates do add up.
Good Luck----------you will be amazed at how much you save. I will NEVER go back to shopping without coupons. I am now a grandmother and only shop for one, but still save a tremendous amount with my coupons. It affords me many those little extras in life! Good luck and have fun saving!
Edit........almost forgot. You can also use a store coupon with a manufacturers coupon. The store coupon works just like a sale at the store.
