As for going back and forth, I just went over last night (Friday) about 9:30 PM. I parked at the lots on the US side and walked over (no wait) and took a cab to Adelita's. Came back about 3 hours later and walked through customs with no wait. I'm guessing the other posters commenting about wait time coming back are talking about going over in your car. I've only been to TJ a few times, but the one time my buddies and I drove was a disaster (cops shook us down for some big cash - my buddy caved into the pressure and offered a ridculously high bribe). I would never drive over again myself. It is much safer to walk across the border and take a cab.

As for the scene at Adelita's, it was just OK in terms of the number of quality girls. I prefer young spinners that seem to have a good attitude since it usually works out to being a better experience than going with someone who you can just tell has an attitude. Anyways, I only saw two girls in the whole club over the span of two hours that fit the bill. I banged them both and had a very good time. Young (early 20's), Tall and thin with nice perky natural breasts. I'm pretty picky, but based on looks, I would rate them both 8.5 - 9.0. Service was OK for what you expect in TJ. I felt a little rushed, but I don't expect too much for $60 as compared to what I can get in the US. I had a great time and felt refreshed coming back. There is really nothing like banging two hot young latina girls to give you a sunny outlook on life.

The only other thought I would add is that it seemed strange to me that of all the girls in the bar, there were only maybe about 3 or 4 out of 30 girls there that I would have considered doing (just going by looks, not bringing attitude into question). The general rating of the girls on Friday seemed to be late 20's early 30's, with the great majority of them looking tired and disinterested. There were some butt ugly girls there, but overall most were at least 6's. I was expecting that I would have had a higher number of quality choices, but this has been my experience both times I have hit Adelita's in the past year. Can anyone recommend a better place to "graduate" to in order to find a wider selection of hot young latinas, but still at the $60 price range?

What about safety...? Is it really all uzi drive bys or is that all hype? Or are some parts better to avoid than others? Like back alleys at night (duh), no problem avoiding, but are there areas that are less safe than others...?

I go a cross everyweek on sunday-thursday 6pm to 8pm and like sampson say's there's really no waiting in line.(the longest I ever waitied was 30mins)

Best time is subjective. I like smaller bars and the evenings are generally the best for them. If you like going to Adelitas, it can be so crowded on a Saturday that you cannot even move around in the evening. The afternoon would be more comfortable for that place. Sunday evening would be much more relaxed than a Saturday night in Adelitas. Now the selection should be better on a Saurday night, but you should have plenty of nice choices on a Sunday.

Personally I think that spending the night in TJ enhances the trip. I would recommend it over negotiating the border extra times.

Girls in TJ (namely Adelitas, the center of all the action) will ask for $60 for FS, but will almost always go down to $50. Make sure to see the talent on both sides of the alley behind Adelitas.

Take a taxi from the border to Adelitas (and then back), no more walking around TJ for me, especially at night. Especially watch those back alleys, stay on busy streets.

Actually very late at night can be a very good time to cross the border as there will probably be no line. The line coming back to the US can be 2+ hours nowadays during the daytime (especially Sunday).

I personally would not stay in TJ overnight, but that's your call. I'm not familar with "nice" hotels in TJ and the other guys can weigh in on that issue.

Actually looking at another thread I found this regarding TJ hotels:

"There's a hotel on the east side of Revolution near 4th called Hotel Espaٌa -- it actually very nice. It's surprisingly quiet for being right on Revolution. Also, the Hotel Hacienda de Santiago across the street from La Tropa isn't bad, either. I've stayed in both and they are both not bad -- Espaٌa is better than Santiago."

Hi: I'm headed to San Diego and want to dip in and out of Tijuana, probably for a couple of monger-filled overnights. I've read some conflicting information about protocol while there, so I had a few questions:

-I was thinking of just staying in a hotel over there, but then I'm reading most folks reco coming back to sleep in the US. But then I read that one shouldn't try to do the border crossing at night. So, the questions: (1) do people cross at night? and (2) if not, where do people stay that's safe and--more importantly--chica-friendly? I like all-nighters...

-What's the going rate for 1 hour of sex vs. all-nighter USD? (don't want to blow the median...I hate it when that happens)

-I get it: keep your money in your shoe so when the cops shake you down, you've got most of it left intact; that said, any other dangers? I keep reading about the rampant drug wars and Americans being kidnapped while vacationing in Mexico? Is that happening further out from the city or is there now a real danger there?
