[Only the beginning]

They sell these in the store where I do clinic, and went to school. The Thumbby is a new item they have, I just noticed it there this week. I have not used it in session, so I can't give an opinion. I DID hold it, and kind of play around with it.
It is not too firm, like a T-bar or maybe the Accustar, but it isn't too soft either. It is a squishy firm. It seems like a fun tool, and probably lots of creative ways to use it. The first use I thought of while holding it would be frictioning the erectors. Seems like you could still get the tool right up to the edge of lamina groove.
I never even thought of using it a self massage tool, until I checked the ebay link. That's cool you can stick it on a wall, I didn't notice that when checking them out in the store. Also, I didn't know it could be used hot or cold, I am curious if it would get cold enough to do effective cryotherapy. I do not remember what they had it priced at, but around $30 seems right.
