In Szeged I made a large effort to avoid all bars and/or smoke filled drinking establishments. What bothered me were the smoke filled rooms. However, in the summer, you do have many other choices, the sun is shining, rain is rarely an issue, therefore, in the summer you don't need to limit yourself to the indoor world of bars and clubs, and you may even save a couple of bucks. In the summer, in my opinion, the best place to pick up girls is just about anywhere and everywhere. I don't know about you, but I can just walk around, and if I like them, I give them a big smile, and ask questions they have to answer. To pick up girls in Szeged, one of the best places for me was a public place, a large outdoor (swimming) pool complex known as "Szabadstrand" that attracted a lot of semi-naked healthy-looking, well tanned girls. The place is about 5 kms east of downtown Szeged, right at the "Tisza" river. From downtown Szeged it is just a 20+ minute walk, however in the summer the sun can be pretty hot, and the walk is a bit boring, so perhaps it's better if you invest 200 HUF (approx. 1 USD) in a bus ticket and board a bus, any bus, that goes across a nearby bridge named "Belvarosi Hid". From downtown, there are about 2 or 3 stops to your destination, and there is a bus every 5-10 minutes. Then, you want to get off as soon as your bus crosses the (Tisza) river. Then, from that point on, it it just a short 1 or 2 minute walk. Walk around and get closer to the river. You're on the east side of it, known as the Ujvaros (New Town) area. Look for the Szabadstrand. This Szabadstrand (a large outdoor pool complex with many healthy female bodies) is on the east side of the (Tisza) river, and west of "Szent-Gyorgyi Albert utca". Kind of in between them. You cannot miss it. In the unlikely event you get lost, just ask around, and you might find that people, including girls, are amazingly helpful and kind.

Sorry, I've got no specific info for you on Miskolc. I still don't and didn't like the overcrowded, overadvertised city of Budapest. Therefore, I didn't go to Budapest. Just a few months ago I spent 3 months in Hungary, and, at this time, I visited not Miskolc, but Szeged.

In my experience, Hungarian girls in Hungary have far better attitudes than your typical AW. Let me give you an example.
