I travel regularly to Juarez and stay at the Hilton in Juarez for 65 a night. Just tell them it was the corporate rate promised over the phone. My favorite place is Pink Lady in the afternoon before the night shift. More relaxed atmosphere and more cooperation from the girls. Less customers in the afternoon and the girls will hang with you after you through. Sometimes I get motivated again with all the GFE and go for round two. But some will give you a contact number for meeting at your hotel and avoid the commission paid to the bar. I drive regularly in Juarez. Never had a hint of a problem. But times change and it only takes once to ruin your day. There is a cab stand at the main free crossing. Ask for Marcos. He is young and has aspirations of being a prize fighter. He will hang around with you all evening for 50 and he will keep you from getting ripped off. If something sounds too expensive just waive him over and ask him to pass judgement. I used to use him regularly until I started driving myself. Just one caution if you drive to pink lady. Drive around the side and park in their gated lot. Its not fancy but they watch over your car. First time, go out the back door (same one they use to go to the rooms) and look at the lot and make your own decision. The head honcho is Angel. He tries to get a few buck more but he is negotiable.

I completely agree with DreamingEagle I have Mexican Insurance it is inexpensive and I drive in Juarez frequently. If you do not have Mex. Ins. and you get into an accident the problem is that the Mexicans have a long history of people making a run for the border and there is nobody to settle the damages with if any are incurred. This is why they throw you in jail until they figure out the liability issues and what financial resources you have. But if you have Mex. Ins. they know they can go after your Ins. Co. in a Mex. court. It makes things a little easier but only a little easier. I drive an older car and I stay at the Villa Manport but the one on 16 de Septiembre near the Zona Roja. The neighborhood is really bad and run down. I park there regularly and not had any problems. I do not worry much because there are many much nicer cars all around. I also have some sort of weird ignition where the key has to be programed for the car and I have a car alarm. I actually feel safer driving around Juarez then walking or taking taxis. I have been shaken down by the police while walking before.

On another note I read on the forum a few months ago about the danger of having a girl in your car and getting stopped and her having drugs on her. They said you are really screwed and I believe that is probably true. I have had girls in my car many times going to my hotel after a few drinks. I believe this now to be a bit dangerous because most of the girls in the clubs are into drugs. I have not resolved this personally yet.

I have to acknowlede DesertDon's post and agree that there is MUCH wisdom in not driving in Mexico.

That said, if you follow DE's advice and get MX insurance you will be covered for liability accidents (keeps you out of jail) in the event of a fender bender.

However, if you vehicle is stolen, I'd strongly reccomend that you return to the US ASAP, via taxi or foot (as appropriate) and report your loss in the US.

I'll leave the rest to you're imagination, where I hope it will remain....

I hope this doesn't resurrect the "I'm covered by State Farm in the Free Trade Zone debate" again, but My Freedom is correct. If you have Mexican insurance the attorneys will come get you out of jail Monday - Friday. If you have State Farm you are going to sit in jail until everything is paid off, no matter what your American insurance salesman says or believes himself. They have attorneys in Juarez, also, but your options are much more limited, because the truth is you were not legal to drive in Mexico in the first place.

Just because it says so in the print of the American policy that you are covered, being covered and being legal are two different subjects. You can find this same information on The State Department web site. Mexico does not recognize American auto insurance policies, and vice versa. I've been so adamant about stating these realities because I've done the research and even called the State Farm corporate offices for verification that their ability to help you is very limited despite the Free Trade Zone clause in some policies. It basically means they will adjust and fix your car once you get it back, but you ain't getting it back until everything is paid unless you have Mexican insurance, so where are you? In jail. And that's just if we are only talking about property damage. If someone is seriously injured, you are double-fucked. The final grim note is that if a blood analysis reveals any alcohol or drugs in your system, even your Mexican auto insurance coverage is null and void, by law, meaning triple-fucked --- you pay for everything before they let you go --- if you are not prosecuted in a criminal procedure --- quadruple-fucked. It's bad enough with Mexican insurance...

If you have an accident with or without insurance, DON'T the call the cops. Buy your way out on the spot. The more people get involved the more it's going to cost.

I have a little more information which might be helpful. This is the third car I've heard of stolen from right in from the Villa Manport in just two years. Much more likely someone in the hotel is in on this...three times in two years just from people who report on the forums can't be a cooincidence. No one has ever reported a stolen car anywhere else but from this hotel --- not on the forums that I'm aware of.

I have driven my car(s) in Juarez since the mid 1980s. Have had one car stolen during that time (in a nice colonia close to the Campestre).

Other than that one time, have been fortunate. My secret is that I drive OLDER vehicles in Mexico..older, even "luxary" vehicles that can't be registered in Mexico. (Like an '86 Olds 98...and an '87 Buick Park AVenue)

Last December, I bought a much newer car....be assured, it has NOT been driven into Juarez. The older cars do just fine.

One other thing: If one drives much in Juarez, you best have MEXICAN auto insurance. It could save your a__, should you be in an accident. Sandborn's has good rates. ....Food for thought.

I once parked my truck at the VMP all day long and I wasn't staying there but a couple of members were. The attendant said it was ok to park there. No problems.

Here is what I think happened. The attendant was in on it. If she saw the taxi (one of many similar in appearence) she should have seen you walk in. The taxi driver could very well have been in on it too.

Dude, you should have driven to Jokers, driving around Juarez is the best way to get to know her.

Thursday night, I checked in to Hotel Villa Manport.
Asked to park my vehicle across the steet in the gated parking.
The woman at the desk assured me that where I was parked, in front of the desk window would be safe and that someone was attending the desk all night. I said ok. (mistake one - in MX make sure your vehicle is behind the gate regardless)

I asked for a taxi in 5 minutes, and went up to my room to drop my bag.
Came down, taxi waiting, headed to Jokers. I had a massage appointment in an hour and 1/2, and told the taxi to pick me up in one hour if he wanted.

I came out of Jokers an hour later, no taxi. Finally got one. Returned to Villa Manport and to my shock my vehicle was GONE.

It had been one hour since I left the hotel.
All the woman at the counter could say was that not long after I left, a taxi pulled up in front of the hotel (behind my vehicle). She assumed it was me returning......

Anyway, long story short, I will never see my vehicle again.....
Probabaly took one minute to enter, start, and steal....

My gut tells me that the taxi driver called someone (thief) and told them that there was a vehicle in front of a hotel whose owner would not be around for at least one hour. Taxi driver picked up the thief, droped him at my vehicle, and the rest is history......

Went looking for Marilyns, didn't see it. Stopped an had a few beers at Adrianas on Del Ejido. Had great converstations and some good tunes (juke box is digital).
When I left, heading back towards Lopez Mateo, I noticed a light green building with what looked like Marilyn faded above the door on the corner (didn't see it before).
I stopped in and met Sergio and 3 ladies. He was polite and I explained that I was glad to find the place, but sorry I had missed it on the way in. I will return another day.
I headed on to Jokers, on Mateo this time, to meet a friend. We enjoyed the show! both Jokers have some hot gals 7-10's, I will definately return. After my limit of beers, I headed out and went to Roma's behind Churches. Chose a gal who was committed to a great massaje - $30.

I've been to both MP's mentioned... didn't care for Encanto that much, maybe 6 girls to pick from, none to my taste. I did choose one, 5 min massage followed by full service.
Rooms were par for Juarez so far. Doubt I'll return soon.

Next trip it Sirena (last week).... got lucky and had a really great time $40.
20 Min. Massage + F/S. Returned yesterday and had yet another great time with same gal.... $40 followed by $10 tip, she apprieciated repeat biz and I appreciated the extra attention. Rooms are best I've seen so far in MP's.

Regarding the stip club drinks for $20... you're right there.....
spent some warmup time at "Prince's" on Bolivia just N. of 16 de Septembre....
The dancer I was with really worked it... kinda obvious... full contact almost insesantly so... to the point where I asked the waiter if I was going to be charged for dances I had not agreed to. He said no, and here's the lesson: As long as you're picking up the tap they'll keep ordering $10 beers, easily making up for the "free" lap dances. Yes, I knew I was being taken by scam, but hey, this girl was "no hold bars" working every bit of my hormones to get the dough, so.... while great fun, I won't fall for same again.

I checked out the Joker on BLVD. M. GOMEZ MORIN / Jaurez Povenir....
I parked at nearby hotel.... short taxi to club.....
Audience was all locals, dancers were mostly 7-10's.
I was planning on a break massage downstairs, but failed to realize they close at 10. (will keep trying and learning). I found the "one" of the night, you know that one across the room that beats all others.... by the time I got her over, she said she was on her way out... and she left shortly after. (wow, still a reason to go back).

On that note, I noticed a "Joker" club today, seems like on Ave. Mateos (correct?). It was closed (Sunday) but is much closer to border that the 1st Jokers mentioned. Ever been there?

You will have 43 dollars if you skip the LOJ tour but remember, taxi rides can add up while getting around. I would hate for you to take a taxi to a massage parlor and not find a hot babe. You may have to give a couple of places a try.

I'm new to this forum (which seems to have recently been wiped out and begun again) but am happy to provide some insight into what to expect.

There are 3 bridges into Juarez from EP and only two with which you will most likely ever cross: Santa Fe from downtown EP & the "Free Bridge" (the one from hwy 54 south).

Sante Fe Bridge:recommend parking on the US side (look at EP map, head to bridge, circle the block, you will find plenty of parking for a small fee)
Once parked cross the bridge paying $0.35? or so and walk across.

You are now in "El Centro" - (This is where the teens from EP come to drink in the many dance clubs, as well as all those un-familiar w/ Juarez (scarred to drive), and generally the wilder side of Mexico from peoples' perceptions: everyone will try and husstle for your business immediately when you cross - but hey, keep cool, and have fun... noone bites (at least in open public).

For the first time, I'd walk all the way down Avenida Juarez (the street you're on when you cross) and get a feel for El Centro, Juarez (the busy side of town). Simply say "no gracias" to all the taxi drivers, pan-handlers, etc. that will shout out as you walk.

The Red Light district is on your right a block over, but at first just continue on down Ave. Juarez until you hit Ave. 16 de Septembre. Look right and see the Cathedral. This is as far as you ought to go when walking, unless you go by cab. Turn around, and walk back toward the bridge, staying on the left side of the street.
When you get to the Mariachi courtyard, now on your left (there is a fountain in the middle) walk through it.... you are in the Red Light district.... 17 clubs or so.

Walk around the blocks, in and out of clubs getting a feel of location, environment, ladies, etc. Each club has it's own thing going on... but all will have ladies ready to head "next door" to get a room for 1/2 hour to begin with. I've made the trip next door for $50 (the most - I did not argue,this one was 10, a bit rare, maybe less for most $40 or so), then they hit you up for the bar fee $10-20, then you get next door and someone there will want more, tip, something..... read more posts and you'll get the drift. Note: tip whoever is watching the room you are going to... they come knocking if you haven't fininshed in 30 min... but seem to forget w/ tip.

I do the above for variety, excitement, change, and kicks every now and then.

NOW let me tell you what I prefer and am still working on....

The massage parlors can be much less hassle, security risk, ease, inexpensive, better sex, etc.... however it depends on the parlor for comfort (some are cleaner, nicer than others) and the mujeres who work there can go from 2's to 9's depending....this is where I hope this forum will come in handy... help stay out of the creepy places and find the hot ladies in clean places!

I am now comfortable driving in Juarez and cross the "free bridge / hwy 54 in EP" regularly. Once you are comfortable driving, there are many more options that will get you away from El Centro, which although having concentration of action, also has concentration of risk, and you must stay on your guard.

Massage parlors are all over town, some near strip clubs... (I like this to get a buzz, slow my ejaculation expectancy with a few drinks (longer sex), and generally get turned on and in the mood. Most strip clubs away from El Centro do not have girls soliciting sex.... however, everything has it's price.... read the forum on Jokers, which by the way has a Massaje joint beneath it I have not tried yet, but plan too.

I am working on finding the best place to stay overnight clean and cheap and have a short walk to a strip club and massage parlor next door, or take a taxi to them all w/ in a few miles.... That would be perfect. Drive to hotel in Juarez and park for the evening (NO DWI): room:$30, drinks @strip club:$20, taxi's:$10-20, massage & all:$40 plus the tip - $10 (hey if it's that good, do it).
