Should this rule be introduced into football?

In rugby the captain goes to the referee if he has a complaint. Or if a player is in trouble the captain and the player/s involved are called over and are given a warning. The captain is also told to warn his team that the next time they will be punished.

What I'm trying to say is would it be a good idea if only the captain was allowed to speak to the referee instead of players surrounding him?

It should, but footballers are a law unto themselves these days and it would probably be flaunted and abused like so many other rules during the 90+ minutes.

This only happens if you're a team other than Man Utd or Barcelona.

that's the main idea in soccer of the captain, and issues that have to with players the referees speak with their captains, but since soccer is such an emotional game the players first instinct is to go argue with the referees with is what they do.

Great Idea i hate it when players crowd the ref and howl him.

It would make more sense and cause less arguments and moaning.

Believe it or not, that's how it is supposed to be in football as well.

As a first-grade referee, I can tell you that I only speak to the offending player &/or the captain of their team, but if players try to surround me to badger and coerce me to change my ruling or anything I am quick to give a warning of dissent.

That's the rule, but sadly, it's hardly ever applied.
