not divorced yet? Its simple, mom moved on long time ago say 7 yrs ago. filed for divorced in march of 2011 in April started sleeping with new man. She is forcing this guy on my 7yrd old daughter. My daughter asked him to leaver her alone he would not. My daughter expressed this to me ON HER OWN! her mom thinks its me telling her this ;its not! However I think that her choice is her choice and should be respected! her mom continues to bring this guy around her. I have asked her to stop disrespecting her daughters wishes;she wont listen. Go ahead give it to me, broken heart dad.
Correction: mom mentally divorced three months after the birth of our daughter. she asked for a divorce on our anniversary at dinner. I am a loving supportive man who understood she was caring a lot of distress an i gave her unconditional support. She and I were together all the way up until march of this year. Be kind with your responses. Divorced women, sorry your response is not as valuable.
People please; try to answer the question about the daughter. I believe it the parents responsibility not a 7 year old. Its too new for her she is dealing with so much she is traumatized by loosing her family. Show some some compassion when giving your response thanks.

No, it is not appropriate for her to bring a man around her daughter at this age, against the child's wishes.

Stay tuned, your daughter will eventually want to live with you if mom keeps forcing this man into her life. Be prepared and stay out of trouble so when this happens, you can file for legal physical custody.

If you and the child's mother have been split up for 7 yrs, then it's not inappropriate for her to introduce the child to someone she is dating (if they've been dating a while and are serious) in spite of you two not being divorced...

If the separation was recent and divorce was being sought, then it would be premature to start bringing dating partners around the child...
