Best to use a site like sinohotel to locate where you want to be you can book through these sites - best to request and get both an english and chinese printout of the confirmation of booking.

Girl friendliness varies particularly at the moment when a crack down is on; being B,beijing based I don't know the current situation in Shanghai.

Can't recommend any hotels, I always stay at the Hilton, and the rate is 1160 RMB... Do a search in the area of Najing Road and Tongren Lu for hotels..
Malones was busy as I ever saw it last night, people even on the street.. police went by and did nothing... World cup match on TV and most guys were watching .. many many girls, and the guys were not paying much attention...

Went to Manhattan about 2:30.. and it was not that busy... Chatted with a couple Filipino's I know, and they say "business is bad" Lot of nice Vietnamese there.. maybe giving them competition...

Judys appeared busy.. but I did not go in..

Walked by Golden 18 last night.. it was dark, but the glass door was open, and a guy was sitting inside... Figured it was low key, but open.

Went by this afternoon, about 5pm, same situation.. and yes it was open.
Normal routine, had a great time with #6...

I have a VIP card, and the tab was 800 !! Getting too expensive.. but with the crackdown, maybe they figure alot of places are closed, so they can afford to raise the price.
