Learnt a lot and prices a lot cheaper. But one thing for sure, I have not experienced something that would venture close to what I had in Shanghai. Putting all these memories in writing sure does bring it all back to mind.

Now, lets go to new adventures and new stories to tell. Look out for my next story...

Great Story. Thank you for sharing. Relationships with WGs, now that's an age old story, isn't it, as old as,...err,...since "Pretty Woman" anyway. In the stories, they never work out. In reality, I've seen in happen countless times with my mongering friends, with mixed results and lots of accompanying drama.
When one gets tired of the 'normal' mongering ways (is that possible?), some seek out a little more by way of developing relationships, friendships. it is possible indeed to click with someone every now & then. It brings the experiences to a new & different level, the financial side of it will change (no more standard rates) it will enrich your life's journey but with the possibility of heartaches and distress further down the road. Its difficult to figure out, some people cut it off early to avoid the foreseeable end, some will take it for as long as it will last,...it's complicated.

The finale to this Shanghai girl is that I did go and test for STDs. Everything is fine. I thank all the readers for their concern. This incident happened when I was inexperienced and was aware of any options available. I dont have the contact info of the mummy any longer but I beleive the KTV in Shanghai is called "ShiJieRenJian" - Paradise, or something like that. From my research after this experience, I did find out that the standard price is 1500. From my point of view, this 2000 that I paid, is well worth it. Due to the fact that I was not treated like a customer but like a boyfriend. As I always say, It doesnt matter whether it was all an act or real. The main thing is that this girl made an effort to make me feel like I was her bf and she had feelings. It is the impression that counts. As an advice to future mongerers, do not dig any deeper to find out the truth. Just accept the face value and you would be much happier and content.

After this trip, I did go and visit her in Shanghai after 3 months. We stayed together for a week and she brought me for a visit to HangZhou and NanJing. Enjoyed a week of company. In addition, we did visit the preschool where she is working and it is real. Its just a place for newborns to 5 yrs old and most places like this does not need a teachers license. Its just like a daycare. Had a wonderful time enjoying the scenery and food of places I have never had. In the end I tried to give her money but she refused. In fact, she got mad as she did not want to be treated like a WG. I did hide 5000 in her luggage which she found out later and gave me shit again. This time, I did use precautions. Not for STDs but at least to prevent any pregnancies.

Just to answer "Asiatraveller", you are right. Hardly anyone knows the periods for fertility in a month for a woman. Not a lot of non-Chinese know as well. It is not common knowledge. Actually, I was the one who explained it to my girl.

To conclude, I have not contacted her after my 2nd trip. Best to leave it as it is. Separation with all good memories intact is better than leaving with a fight. This relationship would lead to nowhere except fights. After that, I only frequent China in the south side, mainly ChangPing. Learnt a lot and prices a lot cheaper. I think the 200/100rmb was the fee for delivering a selection of girls however I never pay this. If you tell the mamasan you want tall and slim and then an overweight munchkin is there when you open the door, that's the mamasans fault not yours!

I don't understand, from 200 or 100 rmb to 2000 why? I have not been to Shanghai but am planning as first timer, is it that expensive?

Not to over pay what is normal average rate? Red rope on me bucket list of to experience. Any recommendations of place. Nice story don't mean to hijack.

Great report, Zhegege. Not asking the price was a rookie move. Hard to trust people here at the best of times, let alone in this type of industry!

My advice would be to avoid contacting this girl again unless you want your life to become messy and complicated. If you come back to Shanghai with the intention of seeing this girl, you'll be in a relationship with her. Maybe you want that. If so, great; no problem. But please don't think that you can see this girl again and have a business-transaction or friends-with-benefits relationship. You won't. Please heed my warning and proceed with caution lest you very quickly end-up in over your head and in a far more serious relationship than you intended. If you are the serious, family-type guy looking for a life partner, she could be great. If not, stay away.

If someone is going to get emotionally or financially hurt, make sure that person isn't you.

BTW two minor points: I am suspicious of her being 18 and working in a pre-school. I would have thought she'd need a teaching degree. Also, I am surprised that a young, rural girl with one sexual experience in her life would have such knowledge about rhythm method birth control. I have highly educated female Chinese friends who would not know this. And it generally isn't taught in schools, to my knowledge.

I was in Shanghai 2 years ago. I was there for only 1 night on a transit flight. Didnt have any phone numbers or know anyone around. Luckily I found a business card of a mummy who works at a KTV.
