Riga was a great destination several years ago,but is now an awful place.rip off merchants await you everywhere,the whole economy appears desperate to fleece you of all your cash and give nothing in return.avoid the place and spend your money where you are still safe and get great service,such as poland.i really had some great times in riga but will never return.nothing but bad experiences from most people who have visited recently.

This is my trip report about Riga.

I went to Riga and I can honestly say I was VERY DISAPPOINTED.

There are SO MANY beautiful girls in Riga, but now that they are in the EU and NATO, the entire concept of "free sex" and almost "paid sex" does not exist there anymore. Unless you can live there for 3-6 months, don't bother even trying for free sex. It is slow torture there as you see so many hot girls, but can't do anything with them. This is a summary of how the mission unfolded:

I arrived there and was driven to my apartment. The cost of the 15 minutes taxi ride was 25 Euros. A complete rip off but at least I got there safe as it was late at night. All taxis in Riga are a complete rip off. Do not use them. Just walk. Riga is not a large place.

I quickly set up base in the apartment and then tried to call some of the massage, escort numbers in my "Riga This Night" guide in the apartment. The problem was that the telephone in the apartment only allowed for me to call select numbers (land line only). But ONE number worked for the escort site. So I called it to get a dose of what Latvia had to offer. So, they told me they will send some girls over and I could pick. I waited outside and then three Russian girls walked by and said that I could pick which one. All were in the 4-6 range and not very hot. But the one brown haired Russian girl was ok and I picked her. We went up to the apartment and she said it was 60 lats ($120.00) for the hour. This is much money to pay for average quality. The sex was ok though. It entailed BBBJ/FS. We did it twice in the hour and it was good, but not great. I used the service a few more times as well. It got worse each time. Waste of time and money. To call the other agencies you have to buy a phone card and then walk to the damn pay phone to call. You can find super model quality escorts for ($500 to $900) in the book, but why would you pay that money for that!!! Just use your bloody hand!!!

NOTE: There is also a big difference between RUSSIANS in Latvia and LATVIANS. The Latvians are indifferent to foreign people going to Riga, but the Russians do not like foreigners at all. Use caution in Russian areas. THE RUSSIANS IN LATVIA ABSOLUTELY HATE AMERICANS.

THE STRIP CLUBS IN RIGA ARE TRAPS. DO NOT GO THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF!!!! I LOST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS THERE FOR NOTHING!!!!!!

Next, I bought a phone card. I called all the numbers from www.ladylux.lv website and NONE worked. I think that website is a dead link. Again, another wasted effort.

Met some girls from MySpace in Riga. Went out with them and bought them drinks/dinner. Then they went home. Free drinks and dinner for them. That's nice........I could have done that back home.

Met some UK guys, Scottish guys, and a Norwegian. All got ripped off at the strip bars and few if any got any action from the escorts. The UK guys were especially banged up. I often found them drunk in the Irish Pub. One guy was so messed up that I found him with the door open to the shitter, passed out, pants down to his ankles!!! Funny as shit!!!!

But this shows that the party in Riga is OVER. No idea why guys go there. I canceled my trip to Ukraine to go to Riga and now think I made a mistake. If you like LOOKING at pretty girls, drinking expensive beer, and walking around looking a old stuff, Riga is great. But for a hard core monger, go to Thailand or Costa Rica.

I was visiting Riga last week and it was a big disapoint.
First the escorts was not what they seems to be at the photos, 2 of 3 was fat but nice to talk with.
The nightclubs was emty, only me at most of the places.
At last I end up at the Monroe bar and meet one of the girls there.
She agree to be with me to the hotel, but first I have to pay 200 lats to the bar to get her out. Stupid enough I did.
As soon as we came outside she get one of the clubs staff to drive us to another bar for drinks.
And when we arrive and I tell her that I didn`t have money for drinks or to pay the driver she turned crazy and start shouting and tell me that she had no plan to be with me to the hotel. And then she run into the bar (Voodoo), the driver was already gone to the bar.
So I wasted 200 lats for nothing.
I think Riga is no place for sex anymore.

Baltic countries are not any more a pussy paradise. I went there in 2007 and I confirm what is said below. I had a very good experience with one non pro after a million of adds on the net and the girls was not even Latvian. Useless country for mongers like me lol

Riga stinks. It is almost as if it is run by some mafia style mob these days. In the past 2 years I have not read a single positive experience about the place as a tourist destination. I have been there twice, the first time in 2005 when it still had some credibility.

The girls hate foreigners and will gladly fleece you of your wallet. Polish girls are prettier anyway.

Was at Groks pub in april. They presented a bill of almost 400lats. My buddy and I had not ordered for that. We where locked in the place for several hours and was treathened by security guards.

I have ordered one flight trip to riga in july, but I will cancel it. I have never experienced so many bad people in one time. Riga is absolutely a horrible place, where almost everybody try to fool you. Do not go there.
