Refilling Biotone Tubes

I the biotone massage cream and have the gallon tub that I use to refill my smaller tube. Everytime I go to refil it, I make a HUGE mess! I have tried using spoons and spatulas and nothing seems to help. I end up with cream all over the tube, me and the counter.

Does anyone here refill their tube and have found a good way to do it? Please let me know!

Ever tried using a small funnel? thats what i use and it works fine.

Shannon, I'm curious how you use a funnel. Whenever I use a funnel to siphon cream, especially stiff cream, which I find Biotone to be, I have to shake or slam the funnel in order to get anything to come out of it. This works OK for filling a bottle, (because I can slam against the bottle) but I'm finding it hard to imagine how it works for the tube without a mess. Enlighten me! I'd love to find a better way to get my cream into my bottle. Thanks gpcmassage for asking this question.

Also, I can remember in the past using a spatula to get my biotone into the tube with little mess. Maybe just try going slower? Putting smaller 'scoops' in at a time??? I wish I could remember exactly how I did it, but that was years ago!

i spoon some out into a bowl and heat it up for a lil bit,roughly 15-20 seconds then pour it into the funnel.

Thanks! This is definitely a good tip. Just heating it up enough to be slightly more pourable should not age it significantly, especially if you're using it rather quickly.

Great Ideas! My mother in law and I were just talking about it and I asked her what she thought or if she had any good ideas. She suggested using one of the big gallon ziploc baggies and filling that with some and then cutting a hole in the corner and using that to fill it. The ziploc would provide alot of extra space to get it into the bag and then just a little hole would let us fill it.

I have the same problem!

I haven't done this, but my partner suggests to me that I buy a cake frosting dispenser. This would allow you to pour lotion in like a funnel, but then also push it through.

You'd have to verify that the nozzle size is good, but they are washable and reuseable, and less than $10.

Refilling Biotone Tubes

one thing I have started doing is that I have 2 refill tubes. So one is my "icky" tube that I just spoon into and then I squeeze from there into my "good" tube. This way the outside of the 'good' tube doesn't get cream all over and it falls in there nice. So far it's worked good for me.
