2 Years ago, we purchased a RagDoll Kitten. At that time, we had 2 cats, (both 5 years old). The original 2, never really accepted the new kitten, but over a handful of days, "tolerated" her. After a bit longer, the they continued to accept her for the most part, but still never completely.
My GF and I split. She took the original 2, while I kept the "baby".
Recently I took in the original 2 for a 3 week "babysitting" task, whilst she (GF) entertains a family member who is allergic to cats.
Anyone have some advice on how to help them quickly get along, and reduce stress?
This time around seems much harder for them. After 5 days, the "guests" are still as unhappy as the first day. My cat is fine and is trying to befriend them. She will, however defend herself to a win by chasing the other cats in to submission. She's 5 years younger and has a lot more energy.
