Period help for a newbie?

I started my period in Augast. It's now October and I haven't had anything since. Is this normal? Why isn't my period coming? I have a feeling that it's never going to come back again. Is it possible to skip 2 months after when you've started? And also I've got to do swimming in PE now and I'm scared because I feel like all of the sudden it could come on in the pool?

yes it is normal to be abnormal at first and its not gonna come on in the pool no worries it just doesnt come on just like that you will know and you will feel when you have it

lots of times a womans period doesn't have a regular schedule to it like others. If you just started it, I would expect it again soon, but don't expect regularity for a few years. It won't come on in a pool, if it doesit'll come on when you get out.

First of all, It's completley normal in your first year to not get your period regularly. once you get your period two months in a row, count the days in between them (you should definitley mark them on some type of calender) then, you can try to guess when your next period might come. You never know when it might actuallly suprize you so keep a pad in your purse at all times. you know what you period feels like now, so you should be able to tell when it comes. For swimming in PE, here's a few tips. First, keep in mind that when you are in water, your period doesn't actually do anything. Even if you have your period and you are just taking a bath, your period won't bother you and no blood will come out. If you do happen to get your period while swimming, you would get it when you get out of the pool when any water that has went up your vagina will come out. Strangley, your vagina will make this really weird noise. It happened to me once when I woke up from bed. I was laying on my back all night and when I woke up, I stood up and it made this really weird noise and then the next thing I knew, my shorts were all bloody. Another thing that I need to tell you is the one person who wrote that you should wear a tampon everytime you swim is completley wrong. You could get VERY sick from doing that. What you really need to do is use a tampon only when you have your period. you can start your first time using it on your heaviest day. you can get more information on the pamphlet that they give you when you buy the pack of tampons or at beinggirl.com. I would suggest that you buy a light flow pack for your first time. Always buy the plastic applicator also. It's gonna take awhile for your periods to regulate. Over time, you'll be able to calculate the days that your period is gonna start and eventually you'll be able to tell by how you're feeling what day it's gonna be here. If you're worried about it starting while you're in the pool, don't. It may seem like a lot of blood, but I don't think it'll be enough to 'turn the water pink'. If you notice that you've been kinda moody & crampy then i don't think it'd hurt to put a tampon in before starting your pe class. good luck.

Hi. I'm a girl, by the way. I know the avatar shows a guy - that's my husband. Anyway... Don't worry. It is normal for your period to be irregular when you first start. Your hormones are just kicking up and it takes a while for them to settle into a rhythm. Also, about swimming class - your period usually starts with a very light flow. This light flow lasts from a few hours to a couple days at the beginning of each cycle. Check for any blood before class. If there is none, you're okay to go swimming. It's not like you're going to get into the pool and start gushing blood! If you're absolutely terrified that you could possibly start bleeding during PE, insert a tampon before you go swimming. That way you'll be fine even if your period does start.

It's totally normal to skip a month of period, as long as you are not sexually active then it's nothing to worry about. Always use tampons when swimming, even if you are expecting or due your period.

Ya this is totally normal, it will take a while (up to a year or more) before your periods will settle down properly when you first get them. Also when your periods coming your body will warn you before hand, you may suffer from cramps, weird sensations in you legs, don't feel right etc, and when your period starts its light at the first day and builds up there after. So before you even get into the pool go to the bathroom first and check if you are still worried. But besides that you body will always warn you.
