Feeling lonely walking along Main street, I almost went into Prosper city but hesitated when I saw many people at the bus stop. Well, I went a bit further down to Kiku. i hate to be off track here, but this is a pet peeve of mine. for future reference, "oriental" is generally a term used to describe objects, such as rugs and drugs. "asian" is generally a term to describe many things, including people. perhaps you don't care, but it's entirely possible that if you speak to that next attractive asian girl you meet, and say something like "i really like oriental girls" that she'll put you at the bottom of her list. just an FYI.

I think the reason I would tend to use the term Oriental is to differntial between someone from China or Japan as opposed to someone from India or Siberia. Those are in Asia as well. It is not meant as a derogotry term.
