tips on organic linens
A few tips on organic sheets:
The most affordable and earth-friendly way to go is unbleached cotton. If you want colors, then you need to find a company that also uses organic dyes, which is pretty expensive.
One trick on unbleached cotton: don't overdry it, or you'll cook the stains right in. It's best to tumble dry on low or airdry, if possible.
As far as durability, organic cotton sheets should last as long as other sheets, but get at least a medium-thick sheet (4 oz. or better) for best results.
A few options: My company actually makes our own massage sheet sets with a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and face cover. We can do a certified organic set out of flannel, but right now you have to special order it, and they're about $80 each. If a lot of people are interested, we could do them in volume, and that would help the price come down.
I know that Lotus Touch also sells organic sheet sets, but again they're about $80 each.
