Oil spots on walls

Hi everyone! I've just signed a contract to rent a room. I got a better look at it today and noticed that it had a lot of oil spots on the walls from the previous therapist. Does anyone have a trick to get the stains off the walls or will they always be there? I don't think it is something clients will notice as I plan on putting up darker curtains so it won't be so bright, but it just bugs me and makes the room feel kind of dirty as it also has black scuff marks on the walls from furniture I think. I don't want to have to paint as the walls are already a nice blue/green and I'd like to start using it ASAP.

Sometimes dryer sheets will work - the ones like "Bounce" sheets. Last time I used one it was a Members Mark (from Sam's) and it did the trick.

Sometimes you just have to re-paint.

Black scuff marks come off well with Mr Clean Magic Eraser.

Not sure about the oil spots - is it painted dry wall or panelling or ?? If it is a fairly hard surface, any kind of de-greasing kitchen cleaner should take the spots off. But if it is latex paint, you might take the colour right off.

I have a similar issue. I don't actually know how oil drips get on the walls? anyway, I never did get it cleaned off - I will try some of the ideas here. in my room they only show up if you look at the wall a certain way in certain light and I was able to cover some up with decor.
