Parking lots east of I-5 often charge less than lots west of I-5. They also give you less time (eight hours compared to 24 hours).

When picking a parking lot be sure to read the fine print. If you're going for a few hours an 8 hour lot is fine. If you're thinking about an extended session then a 24 hour is the better choice.

Some lots (most of those east of I-5) have an 8 hour time limit. Other lots charge until 10am the following morning. The UTEP/Duty Free lot is the only true 24 hour lot.

Also, lots of guys have learned the hard way that K-Mart, the outlet mall, etc. tow the cars of those seen leaving the lot headed to TJ. Even if you get out of the lot undetected your car will be towed if you 're not back before the lot closes.

Another option is to use a Park and Ride lot (free) and take the trolley to TJ. It's a good bet you can leave your car up to 72 hours in a Park and Ride lot without getting a ticket. (Although I believe the sign says there is a 24 hour limit.) A trolley ticket will be $2.50 (or less) each way. (Buy the trolley ticket as there are a lot of "trolley cops" near the border.)

It doesn’t take much skill to get a chica to sit at your table. English, Spanish, and hand signs will all get a chica to come your table. So will asking a waiter to go get a chica you want to see.

The hard part is not getting scammed by chicas, waiters, etc. (Years ago, on another site, I posted The Newbie Guide to Tijuana with tips about such things.) Be sure to negotiate everything—price, time, services desired, etc.—before starting a session.

To avoid being scammed you need to understand many things about how the world goes round in TJ. One of those things is that bars only make money on the drinks sold. (They don't get a penny of what chicas earn for selling sex). So bars give chicas a daily sales quota and reportedly fine chicas who don't sell the daily quota. Chicas also get a commission based on the number of drinks they sell. (For each drink they sell they get a "ficha" meaning a ticket used to claim their commission at the end of the shift.) So everybody—the bars, the chicas, and the waiters—has a financial interest in getting you to buy a lot of drinks. Drink all you want, but don't get "ficha fucked" in the process. Meaning don't get pressured into buying drinks you didn't really want to buy.

The "suckie fuckie" girls usually give you rushed treatment. You won't enjoy your time with them.

It seems to work pretty well. As Fireballs noted, the worst bar seems to be AB. I've never had a problem with CC and only a couple of times do I remember any problems at HK. But then again, I usually frequent the bars only in the weekday afternoons. The high-volume weekend nights are probably much more problematic. Yelling at them that it hasn't been 30 minutes yet has always worked for me.

The knocking early thing seems to happen more often in AB than the other bars. Could be because AB is more of a high volume bar and the girls can't wait till get downstairs and take someone else up?

I just don't experience the knocking early from the other bars nor do I hear about it as much as I do with AB, but than again I rarely visit this bar except to have a beer or two.

As we are walking into the room, I politely ask the guy, "Seٌor, nosotros tenemos treinta minutos, si?" and then I record the time. He usually gets the idea that if he knocks before 30 minutes, not only am I going to yell, "No son treinta minutos!", he's also not going to get a tip. Often, they will leave you alone if you do this and we've gone into overtime.

Don't tip the clean up boy $1 dollar if he is knocking early. According to Sampson the chica takes care of him to knock early, so don't give him anymore money for bad behavior.

I agree ignore those chicas coming around saying things like "suckie fuckie" wait to the one that you want, and then go up to her.

My recent AD experience (last several months) has been 50$ - 60$ on the girl, $11 on the room next door, and 1 buck$ for the clean up boy (who by the way knocks on your door relentlessly 13 mins after entering)

Patience is the main thing. Don't rush!

Many girl's will approach you saying..."Suckie,Fuckie..Papi" let's go.

Disregard them, And just wait for your type of flavor

back in 1998 when i was a newbie to tj, i went upstairs for 40, plus 10 for room. last visit there in December 2006, i paid 40, plus 12 for room. not really a big fan of st. girls, but the lowest i've paid was 10.

one thing i must say,,,don't be shy to negotiate.

P.S. i know i missed my tenth year anniversary last year. hopefully i'll be there in my eleventh year.

i lived only 20 mins away from the border.

There are 2 parking lots by the Jack in the Box. The one across the street has variable rates: $4, $5, $9. It's cheaper when there are few cars around.

The lot "behind" or above the Jack in the Box is always $5 for 8 hours. It's also a lot larger than the one across the street.

There is also a lot just north of the Jack in the Box on the same side of the street. It is in the parking lot of what used to be a motel. Rates there are $4 or $5.

If you don't want to approach a chica in AB just stand there and one will approach you. However, those tend to provide worse service.

The place right behind Jack-in-the-Box on the east side of the freeway is handy since you don't have to stumble up and over the bridge on your way home. It's usually $5 but has been as cheap as $4 and sometimes as high as $9 depending on the demand.

If your bombing run is during daylight hours, the absolute cheapest place to park is right on Camino de la Plaza on the west side of the freeway. There is usually parking on the street and it's all of a extra 3 minutes to walk.

if they(bar girls)quoted you 50,60,70, or 80. say no thanks and walk around or stand there with your head and eyes moving. please keep the standard rate at 40.
