newbie guitar player needs advice on buying an electric guitar?

Ok so I have just staring to learn the acoustic guitar for about a month pretty much be learning fro books and teaching myself how to play, and with Christmas coming up my girlfriend has decide she is going to buy me an electric guitar which im so excited about. so I am looking at couple of models that would be the best fit for me a beginner. mostly when I play my acoustic I try to play sublime, pennywise, bob marley, pink Floyd, Rollin stones, some doors. I know it’s a pretty wide Variety of sounds So I guess I’m looking for a pretty versatile guitar but I know NOTHING!!

Yamaha PAC012DLX Pacifica Series HSS Deluxe


I also saw a Squier Affinity Series Telecaster is that any good for a beginner? It looks like the fender telecaster but A LOT cheaper. But I don’t want it to sound like crap.

Also what else besides an amp would you think I need? Like I said I know nothing about guitars I just like to play. Lol any advice would help greatly
