newbie at liquid liner?

k so i wanted to try liquid liner. i got a cheap crappy NYC one at target just cause i know im gonna waste a lot messing it up.

Any application tips? ive got it to the point where it looks ok but its like not even and i try to fix it and it ends up too thick. the applicator thing is a tiny little brush. and ik its a crappy liner, but is there any way to keep it from drying and flaking? like is it better if its over eyeshadow?

I also tried the NYC liner at first just to try it out.
That liner is pretty crappy so that could be whats causing you problems.
The brush isnt really at a point, you want one thats at a point and very thin.
Try revlon color stay liquid liner, That kind stays on pretty well.
But pretty much any liner that has a felt tip that reaches a point will work better.

LO'oreal carbon black liquid liner it has gold lettering on it and a felt tip ... works amazing ... stays on long ...kinda expensive compared 2 nyc .. like 8 or 9 bucks
