Hey guys,

I just moved into the city from the GTA and noticed the AB board is quite dead compared to the Toronto section.

I plan to start checking out local talents (mostly asian) once I am settled in. From first glance so far, the talents here do not seem up to par at all.

Most MP shops seem to be FS.
Any notable semi-legits?

Pricing as well seem to be high... $80 for HJ? Fuck that. Come on boys, a HJ in the GTA is $40 TOPS... If we are to knock these arrogant prairie hoe’s down a notch we should all practice proper tipping and make them work a little harder for it..

Below are the indicators as to what you services you would normally expect (atleast in Toronto):

Semi-Legit (Good massage with a basic HJ ending usually)

We should all try to stick to this pricing and to be honest, this is actually still more expensive than it should be. MPs are getting a free pass to not work hard enough for their tip. Talk with your cash gents, it is king.

Hello there, because you are from GTA, everything available in Alberta will be extremely disappointing big time. You were exposed to lower prices, great talent, good services, lots of varieties, many many many and many choices of Establishments, and many ladies desperately looking for your patronage. I have been to GTA and I know as what I xxxperienced there, it was like a high (orgasm) and when I came back, it was a big deflated let down.

You went from getting High Speed Internet at 300 Mbps to now only getting High Speed Internet at 60 Mbps. That is the best analogy I can give you.

You complain about this board being boring and lacking activity when compared to the Toronto board.......well believe it or not the little amount of activity that does happen on this board is because there are a select few regular dedicated members that do contribute here. If it weren't for them, this board would be like a forest where if a few hectares of trees fell, no one would even hear it or care.

From your 100% expectations of activities, you must dial it back to 40% on this board.

Welcome to Alberta. You may notice a few other differences in pricing from Ontario, such as land transfer tax is non-existent here vs the 2 that people in Toronto have to pay, our fuel is a little cheaper, and our beef is much better and cheaper than in Ontario. It's all because we have a different market here. People pay market prices wherever they are and market prices are different.

That being said, there are a lot of things here that are more money just because people have been getting away with gouging for so long. Is massage one of them.....I'm not sure. Do I wish it was cheaper? Absolutely!!! Can we affect rate changes with boycotting or refusing to pay more? Nope, the people doing the services will just leave to places they can get paid. Alberta is very transient and if you're not born here (and even if you are) people don't tend to stay for long periods unless it's profitable.

Most things are cheaper in Calgary over Toronto
My opinion on the higher massage prices in Calgary because the Dumb Calgary Clowns pay them
If you do a little digging you can get a descant legit massage for $ 65.00 and they offer receipts
If you want stress relief only a HE $ 50.00 + room fees .
When I visit an AMP's and ask for pricing. If I get an outragous price. I laugh and walk out. To bad not every one does that

I agree with Bullet, mostly. I do "shop" for the best pricing for receipt RMT massages. I've gotten good ones for $50 and awful ones for $80. I will never pay an $80 room fee and never more than $40 for a tip if I feel the need for an extra.

I've called places I know we're $80 two years ago and are now $60. I've tried some out, most never again.

There is that old saying of "you get what you pay for". I think and have see some reduction in prices and also reduction in service and quality too.

I'm curious to see how Calgary compares to Edmonton, Vancouver, and Saskatoon/Regina?

In Edmonton for massage pricing, $65/$75 is rare, $80 is very common. $70 is diminishing, a few places is $90 because the location and operator has higher overhead and would like their employees earning a living wage.
Some more fairer places may not charge you tax when pay by cash or you don't need a receipt. It varies greatly so I tend to visit those places more often. If you are claiming, there is a market limit of how much of it is reimbursed depending on your plan. So $100 +tax+tip for 1 hour is above market so you will feel a lighter wallet pretty quick as you might only get up to $90 back max for that visit. If you find a $65 place and quite satisfied with the quality of service, keep patronizing them cause it won't last too long anymore.
