Netbook Advice for a Newbie: Processor Changing?

Hello Yahoo Answers! I am a complete newbie to this kind of thing, and just wanted to ask if improving the processor of a Netbook will enable it to be less laggy when using large programs or similar things. (Up to and beond even 1.5gb programs!). Also, is there anything else I should know about replacing the hard drive of a netbook? (e.g. What capacity of processor I should use and physical size aspects)

Hello and welcome, to answer your question, you can't exactly remove a processor from a netbook/notebook comptuer as they are specific to the machine on which they are found. You'll likely have great difficulty finding an alternative processor (even if you could remove it, since it's soldered in place) that will fit your socket type. With regards to the hard drive that's easy enough. You can poke around the web for something that will suit your needs, but you shouldn't really encounter any difficulty with that. Ain't no porcessor upgrading to it. You CANNOT change the processor.
