My story's stuck...need to introduce new character...Help?

It's been a while since I wrote, but I finally had some inspiration a few days ago and started a story. Problem is, I can't continue and I'm still in the beginning.

So my main character is in a hallway, a little boy (about 12-13, should I include that in the story?) opened the door for her and she's now in a dimly lit hallway. Because of that she can't see that he looks sick, and it feels to me that he wants to say something to her but he's not telling me what:s His mother is upstairs waiting for her, because her husband is really sick and she needs my main character's help (she's some sort of nurse).

It's winter if that's important.

Please please please please help
My brother is 13 and my sister is 12, they and their friends are all shorter than me, so I think I can call them little xD

The little boy ran as fast as weak legs could carry him. He stopped when he saw her in the hallway.
His wheezing breath was spotted with irregular bouts of coughing. His voice was soft and shrill, making it difficult to hear him over the howling wind that was so prevalent in winter.
“Ma’am, it’s me ma…she, uh…She…â€
Another bout of coughing rakes his thin frame, making it more difficult to make sense of his words.
“What is wrong?†She asks bending down, trying to hear him better. “Tell me.â€
“She is upstairs. She asks if you could come urgently. Me Pa, it is him that needs help.â€

Not a good example, more telling than showing, but you can write the scene down and just continue.
When I am stuck, I just write the details of scene down and come write it later, as long as you know what is supposed to happen there, continue. Write it when you do your editing.
Nothing is ever perfect when you write it the very first time.

Most 12-13 year old boys are taller than many adult women. Hardly "little"...

I'm not entirely sure what sort of help you want here except for someone else to write your story for you. Think about what you'd say if you opened the door to medical help. Hello, maybe? Come in? Mum's upstairs with Dad? Thank you for getting here so quickly? If he's sick, maybe he coughs or sounds hoarse?

"Ma'am...." He coughs trying to gain some form of control as he takes in a breath and clear his throat he wipes at his noise as he looks up into her eyes. "Ma'am, my mother, ne-" Coughs again "Needs you to come upstairs, please."
