According to ZB's adorable new barmaid Giselle, (from the Phillipines, of course!) Zona Blue will be open every day EXCEPT Friday during Semana Santa. And yes that includes Easter Sunday! They will also be closing early (6pm) on Thursday. She didn't seem to think there were any liquor restrictions these days...but maybe being new she just didn't know.

The "Ley de Seca", ban on alcohol sales, starts at 12:01 AM on Thursday morning and ends at midnight Friday. During those 48 hours the sale of alcohol is prohibited in bars, restaurants, clubs, markets, etc.

As with any law there will be places that will not abide by it.

If you are flying in for the Easter break, stop at the tax-free liquor store in the airport and pick up your bottles. Even though they inflate prices (airport prices), the bottles are cheaper than the stores outside the airport because there is no tax - hard liquor and wine only, no beer.

If you had asked me several months ago what I thought of Zona Blue, I would have gone on and on about how it's the best of it's kind and how other Massage Parlors should adopt their philosophy. These days, it seems it's one bad surprise after another...

Mind You, I don't know what exactly is going on or what has changed to make all the hottest girls leave. But there are more and more of their former girls showing up around town.

To top it off, I was in the bar upstairs smoking a cigar and waiting for my friend to finish up and chatting up a chica when the bartender brought her a drink. The philipino bartender girl then asked me for 4,000 colones ($8). I asked what she wanted $8 from me for, she said it was for the drink. I told her I didn't order a drink for anyone, she then asked me "Don't you want to be nice to the girls"?

How fuckin' mickey mouse is that shit? Besides the Mass Exodus of any halfway decent looking girl, now their playing the liquor con?

I sure hope this new phase ZB is going through is just a series of stupid decisions and not a downward trend to cheap hustles and petty cons...

Cuba Jones, do not know when this happened nor what time of day it was, but in defense of ZB, they have a new bartender, and she may have missinterpeted the situation, or also there are chicas in every venue that when spending time with a potientual client, will ask the BT for a drank at the clients expense without asking the guy. Yes, I have had the BT there ask me why I didnot buy a chica a drank, but I have never had one charge me for a drank I had not OKed.

As for as some of the "hot" chicas leaving, if you spent as much time as I do in all the MPs, you would know that there is NO loyality among putas. No matter where they are working, the "grass is always greener" on the other side. They move around all the time. Also Eddie is very aware of all the complaints expressed on this board, and quite well may be trying to deal with some of those complaints.

The one thing I would like to say to everyone is; IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT ABOUT ZB OR FOR THAT MATTER ANY MP. talk to the owner, manager, or whoever is running the place and try to resolve the problem instead of continually bashing the place. Almost all will try to correct the problem if you just have the whatever to let them know there is a problem; and this is especially true of Eddie.

BangBang, Until a week and a half ago, I was singing the same song. Bashing depends on your perspective. Yes, I'm criticizing based on experience with my last several visits.

I don't care to get involved in the dispute with the girls because you have a point, there is no loyalty among putas. But it goes the other way as well. While I won't take the girls side, I'm not going to take Eddy's either. I DO take other monger's side and let them know of potential pitfalls. Eddy's always been pleasant with me and I hope things improve for him and the girls. But things are definitely upside down over there right now.

And your wrong about one thing, this board exists precisely to praise and critisize establishments based on experience. I wrote a report last year comparing the place to Disneyland for men. I write reports to enhance, and hopefully improve other member's experience. If what I say hurts Eddy's feeling, he's from NY, he'll get over it...

Cuba Jones, I am sorry if I implyed that anyone should not post their complaints and or problems on this board; just the opposite, I am and always have been a very strong advocate of doing just that. You are correct in that this board is to educate, inform and prepare guys for CR mongering.

What I was trying to say was, do not JUST complain and inform here; tell the managment of the establishment about the problem (MANY DO NOT)!

Per example just this week I talked to the owner of another MP about a problem that had been expressed by 3 different guys. She was totally unaware of the problem. No one had said a word to her. But she did promise to correct the problem.

And one other thing; Yes many of the things at ZB are very "up side down" right now. And as for as I am concerned that is the case in a lot (most) of the venues now. Hell I would give anything if the mongering scene here could go back to what it was 8-10 years ago (will never happen) :evil: . The REY (and I know many do not hold the REY in the same low esteem) is the most up side down of all the places here. :? :
