Well partially. I guess the Stravaganza is really the old Hawaii Club, and not El Cadillac. I gotta get back there next year.

It's not right past the bull ring. you gotta travel down the road about a mile or a mile and half, past an electrical substation on your left.

I don't know how much of that area is now built up, but you'll see a old 2 story on the right. That should be Extavaganza (once known as El Cadillac).

I looked for this Zona Roja in the spring but didn't see anything along the road up past the bull ring.
It was daylight so that may explain something.

I Was In The Zone On Friday Night, There Are 5 Clubs Now, Cadillac, Stravaganza, Las Alazanas, My Tren And A Transvestite Bar.
I Went There After Meeting A Friend At Candies In The Marina. There Was About 25 Girls 7-10"s But At Candies A Coke Is 45 Pesos And A Girls Drink Is 170. Private Dances Were 400 And A Trip Outside Was 1000 For The House And Negotiable For The Girl.
In The Zone We Went To The Club On The Left As You Enter, It Used To Be Called My Tren But Now Has A New Name. There Was Only One Dancer There But She Was Exceptionally Accomodating. The Drinks Were 20 And 70 Respectively. At Trip To The Room Is 100 For The House And Negotiable For The Girl.
Stravaganza Has About 20 Girls 5-8"s Drinks Are 30 And 90. 700 For The House And Girl.
An Old Standby Is Konijitas Near El Pittalal, Drinks 50 And 150. A Private Dance Is 600 Which Includes A Cbj.
The Cadillac Is Still Open But The Quality Has Taken A Serious Dive From Years Ago.

Night Clubs, but be prepared, they are Mexican nightclubs. Nothing like you'd see in the states. I think Weird Willie described what they are like in his post. In fact Stravaganza was once named El Cadillac. I still have a business card from them.

It has been two years since my last visit to Vallarta, so some of this info may be outdated. The Zona Roja, if it has not been closed down because of all of the new construction going on nearby, is a collection of four brothels/bars behind a tall fenced in compound. One is called Stravaganza, where they have topless dancers who are for hire in one of the nearby rooms. The prices can range anywhere from $50-$100, depending on their popularity. The other three bars are usually deserted. As far as safety goes, I have never had any problems.
From some of the Message Boards that deal with Vallarta, I've learned that Junior's in Old Town, has closed, to be replaced by a Condo. But, with it's demise, a couple of old time bars/brothels have reopened. One is Los Lobos, around the corner from the Vista del Sol condos. And, the other is Mamacita's, near the Super Farmacia. I plan to check out both of them next month.
There are several "Gentlemen's Clubs" in the hotel zone and marina zone, but I have never gone. Too high priced for me.

Off the main highway between the airport and the marina. You turn at the bullring. The Zona is about 1- 1&1/2 mile down the road on the right.


So if your coming in from the PV hotel zone, you'd make a right at the bullring. Boy I remember before that damn road was paved. It was nothing but mud and potholes.
