My first post, but a long time lurker.
I came across an ad for Macau on Somerled on CL and decided to check it out. It is in an upstairs office type building on the corner of Cavendish and Somerled.
As I was approaching the door I pass an Asian woman in her late twenties going for a smoke outside I think she was the second girl. I entered and there was a beautiful woman in her early twenties with a great rack,beautiful face and excellent body at reception. She was unfortunately not the one I would get.
I paid the $40./half hour entrance fee and turned around to see my mp. I won't mention her name but she was 40+ maybe 50. Somewhat tall and skinny and not in the least attractive or sexy. But hey I thought give it a chance and maybe it will work out as a great hj or who knows? It didn't. I got undressed and lay face down on the table as she organized her hand bag and etc.
Before she laid a hand on me she says " you know how it works here eh? we work for tips. so what would you like?" I replied that I thought it would be good to start with the massage I just paid for and we could see about tips later. She then says well what are you here for? I said; " I am here for a massage and a hand job ok?" She says; "Ok that will be $60.00."
I was shocked and said no way will I pay you $60 for a hj. She wanted to know what I usually pay and I said $20. She said no way was she doing anything for $20 buck and I replied that worked for me. I got up, dressed and left and got a refund from the hot receptionist, who I would have happily paid $60 bucks for a hand job.
I will never go there again.

I had been eagerly anticipating their opening, since they are nearby to where I often go to eat lunch at Agostini's. However, every time I called I was told "opening soon", "opening June 24", never open even though sign in window said "open". Yesterday I walked in, and, I will agree that the receptionist I would do immediately, but I had to push to even get a presentation (that used to be standard operating procedure in salons in the 80s), and what I saw was nothing to write home about -- a dumpy frumpy old hag of an Oriental; a gum-chewing blonde that had marks on her arms and looked in a daze as if she had just snorted a line of Xanax; and a dark-skinned Dominican who could hardly speak English. No way Jose...I saw enough to make sure that Mackenzie King stayed in his humble leather-bound abode, and with the previous review indicating their greedy, money-grubbing poor service, I need not return.

Guydun, sorry about your bad experience, I had a talk with Summer and this wont happen again, Please pm me and I will figure out something to make it up to you. I appreciate the feedback since I have just opened the place and I want to give the best customer service possible to my clients. Most people leave here satisfied but it is just the begining and until we get rolling every now and then might have some issues.

As for mellonhead, The first thing I check with all my girls is for marks on their hands since I dont want any drugs in my establishment. We were supposed to be opened in June however things happen and we had a few delays we have been open officially for two weeks and change. Im sorry about the no presentation I wasnt here and every customer is supposed to get a presentation, the only time you dont get presented to a girl is if she is busy with a customer which would be really awkward for the customer who is getting his massage. Also the Dominican girl is born in toronto speaks great english I dont know what gave you that impression.

Well Anthony, thanks but no thanks. Like I said I will not return to your place. I have no reason to do so. The women you have working there except the receptionist, do not interest me and I would venture to say the same applies to the majority of people who read this board. I have no interest in taking shots at Summer or you or your place. I posted my review and listed my experiences while there.
Your $40 entrance fee is high and this is a buyers market and there are lots and lots of places that offer a good massage. There are many with very beautiful women working there who offer an nice release at the end of the massage for $20 to $30.

Sorry to read that your experience at this place didn't work out. Unfortunately, the owner has not committed about the receptionist offering services, so the place doesn't look inviting based on the comments in this thread.

Please feel free to share your other places where you feel you are getting good value and no hassles.

As far as "entrance fees" go, they run the gamut but aren't they supposed to be a charge for the massage component? All places charge a basic fee for a massage (even though they might call it something else) and the rest is between the user and the MP, no?

Well I give thumbs up to Anthony for coming on here and answering Guydun.Well done Anthony.I paid a short visit to this salon last week and unfortunately all the girls were busy so I cannot comment on their looks.But again as most of the members here agree on is that great looking receptionist,thats the kind of girls you need Anthony.I am sure you are well aware of that as well.When massage places start out it takes time to attract the type of girls that is needed to make your buisness run properly especially if there is a shortage of goodlooking sexy girls around.Lets be patient and give Anthony a week or two to get his staff upgraded or just let the receptionist do the massages and the masseuses do the reception.

As for the receptionist she is strictly for massage and she is only temp until I find an actual receptionsit. She manages my other business which is totally unrelated so she is just helping out for now, I doubt she will ever become an mp. I do agree she is a total knockout, you should see her mother even better

Well Hotdog you can go and take one for the team when and if things change there and post a review. But it you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that a post from a noob generates 10 posts and 1600 views in a matter of four or five days. This is not about praise for the owner but about people reading the review. Even if 10% of the views were potential clients it represents $6400 of lost revenue at the door based on $40 per half hour.
So you can cheer him on if you want to Hotdog, I don't see the point.

First off Guydun, after speaking to Summer, the girl you took in the room, and it is not hard to remember you since we have only been open for a short while you are the only one so far who took a refund and left. Yes we all agree she was wrong in discussing options right off the back. You did pay for a massage and it is standard to get a massage and later on to discuss anything, even she understands now that she was wrong. However you wanted a thai for 20 and that is not happening. Second off whatever she looks like you were not forced to go in with her. The NDG neighbourhood where this place is located is not conducive to high pricing levels...look at the status and style of the nearby 2-for-1 pizza, a rapper/gangsta "fashion" outlet where you can arrange for your pharmacology requirements, etc., etc. One time when I entered the building, I had to literally push past a coterie of new Canadians huddled around the doorway chain-smoking...and inside was the stench of a 1950s-style woman's hair salon.

Maybe Dr. Tran should be brought in as a consultant on how to run an establishment....or follow the one-price policy that made Acacia on St-Denis successful for many years -- $60 incl. HJ, with young cuties who gave a good massage, spoke both official languages, and who didn't have tattoos. No airline-style nickel-and-diming with overpriced faux-Thai offers, no wasted money on "topless" only to see sagging tits with hairy nipples...

There has to be, in these recession-filled times, some cute unemployed girls who would relish the chance to earn more stroking the swelling appendages of a dirty old man than they could earn at Wal-Mart...unless girls today are simply lazier than their 1990s counterparts, and would rather loll around on the sofa, listening to their iPods, drinking their Red Bulls, and dreaming of when they can score their next O.C.

I don't want to pass judgement on a place I've never been to, but my alarm goes off when I see ads for massage parlors like the one's Macau has been running on CL. The feature super hot girls, totally nude with their asses in the air exposing asshole and pussy and list nearly everything they offer. It just seems too much for an Asian rub and tug joint and makes me wary of the bait and switch and a huge laundry list of expensive options.

The excessive descriptions: "massage and more", "experience the sensual feel of our girl's skin on you,"very kissable,""ready to rock & roll!!" etc.

I know its a new place and they're probably trying really hard to get the word out there but it bugs me.

At some point when they've been around for a while and understand the market better I may drop in and give them a shot. But right now I will hold off.

Sorry, I don't see any threat in what Anthony wrote. Quite the opposite, he seems genuinely sorry about your experience but clear about his business model. Startups are tough, whether you're talking restaurants, tech or tits, and I have no problem with a new owner working out the bugs and coming online here to take the heat. Nobody's asking you to kiss his ass, and he's not kissing yours, either. Lighten up.

I also agree. Personally, I really like to see the owner of a parlour involving themselves the way Anthony seems to be doing, and an ongoing discussion like this can only benefit us intrepid hobbyists.

Noticing the amount of views a typical review gets on here, I also think that a eforum.xxxite rebate would be a fantastic way for him to turn around the poor start he has had. Considering the amount of choice we have at the usual rates (35-40$ for 1/2 hour, 45$-60$ per hour, 20,40,60,80 option levels), he needs to do something to separate himself from the crowd, and that's a great place to start.

I'm all for promotions in the right place, particularly in such a business as this, since the service industry (like the restaurant trade) lives and dies on the daily whims of its clients and their often unspoken impression of their last experience. When a waitress exhibits poor performance, we often smolder in silence and vow never to return, unless her behaviour is particularly reprehensible. The same goes for a massage parlour. If the decor isn't at the very least clean, if the prices don't reflect the performance, if the MPs aren't as advertised, and most importantly if the experience itself isn't up to par, we'll suffer through it and never return.

The danger with owning/operating an establishment like Macau is that while we ordinarily would just tell our friends/family to avoid a bad restaurant, here we are telling hundreds of potential customers to go down the road to one of the dozens of other choices available. Often this is based on one bad experience.

So my advice to you Anthony is to watch your girls carefully, encourage them to perform above and beyond the call of duty in order to have us walk out saying "Wow! Can't wait to go back!", and you'll get the less greedy among us (unfortunately some hoard their findings for fear of making them too busy and therefore unavailable) to wax poetic about the angels flying around in your place.

Oh, and a rebate for us eforum.xxxites would definitely coax us out of our hidey-holes. But beware the bait and switch. Promoting and attracting customers could severely backfire if your service providers, pricing, performance, and decor isn't up to scratch.
