EASTCHESTER โ Police have shut down a newly opened massage parlor on Main Street and charged two women from Queens with prostitution.
The women, police say, were advertising on Craigslist and backpage.com and operating out of a three-room storefront with no markings.
Police identified the women as Y Z, 37, and Y Li Z, 41,
They are charged with promoting prostitution, a misdemeanor, and unauthorized practice of a profession, a felony. Neither had a massage license, police said.
They were released on bail of $1,000 and are due back in court today.
Police said Tuesday that they were alerted to the operation by a community tip Jan. 31 and immediately set up surveillance. After seeing apparent customers patronizing the service, police on Friday sent in undercover officers posing as massage seekers.
Sgt. Antony Mignone said it was clear that the women were offering more than a massage, as the massage portion "lasted just two minutes." The women told the undercover officers the price was $40 "for everything," police Chief Timothy Bonci said.
Police said potential customers would call a number listed in the Internet ads and arrange a meeting outside the storefront. Inside was a spare front room and two rooms in the back.
The ad in Craigslist.com promises a "Pretty Asian Masseuse with soft hands" and boasts of offering several massage techniques, including "Swedish shiatsu Deep Tissue Acupressure โฆ and more."
Amazing how they make it sound, "customers would call and arrange a meeting outside the storefront" What this means is you ring the bell on the door and they open it and say hello.
Massage lasted two minutes and then quoted 40 for everything, they must send in a real stud. According to what other said in there reviews the massage last probably 40 min and it was pretty good. Also UTC was minimal and all you got was a tug, I guess thats what they mean by everything.
Amazing !!!!
