Having lived in vilnius most of the last 5 years I know a little about the place. VILNIUS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR STRIP CLUBS OR WHORES. IF YOU WANT THAT GO TO AMSTERDAM OR PRAGUE. Please! Vilnius now gets 4 flights a day from London and this is a city of 500,000.

BE CAREFUL. DONT SPEAK ENGLISH AT NIGHT OUTSIDE ESPECIALLY TALKING ON A MOBILE. WATCH YOUR DRINK IN A BAR. I PERSONALLY KNOW 3 PEOPLE WHO WHERE DRUGGED AND BEATEN AFTER BEING BEFRIENDED IN BARS THIS SUMMER IN VILNIUS. A criminal can work 10 hours a day for 1-2 euros per hour at a job or rob one tourist a month. Robbing drunk english tourists is quite a growth industry here. It is really best to come with a friend for safety. but not 15 friends like the english do. nothing scarces off a lithuanian girl more than 15 drunk english guys!

Now for what vilnius is good for. Meeting university girls! But be prepared to invest A LOT of time. You can get lucky here just like any place but basically the girls here are the same as girls anywhere. Bottom line is this isn't a pussy vacation spot. Come here to have a cheap holiday, talk to the ladies and maybe something happens but don't count on it.

"Broadway" is the old time pick up joint. Last time I was there was at least 5 guys for every girl. Most of the girls there just want some attention from men and someone to buy them drinks. but u never know!!! There are a lot of other places now. Just get an in your pocket guide when u get here.

Western Europe is seeing a dramatic increase in the trafficking of young women from Eastern Europe since the expansion of the EU in 2004. The UK is cited by many as the main destination and more than half of the women come from Lithuania.


Prostitution is illegal in Lithuania
She was clearly frightened, sitting hunched on the bottom bunk of a bed which almost filled the tiny room.

As she spoke, she touched the large crucifix round her neck. Her hair was coloured with a defiant streak of red.

Last summer, she had been approached by a childhood friend, she told me.

He said he knew someone who was recruiting women to work as prostitutes in Holland.

Prostitution is illegal in Lithuania, but in Holland he said, she would make big money. Trusting him, she agreed.

Within weeks she arrived in Holland - only to find herself a prisoner in a brothel - sold by her friend to a Lithuanian gang.

For months she endured beatings, sexual abuse and a constant stream of clients.

She saw little of the money she had been promised. When she escaped back to Lithuania her childhood friend tipped off the gang members.

They beat her so badly, she almost died. Today she is in hiding, terrified that her attackers will return.

Lucrative business

Her story is common here. Lithuania joined the EU last year. Since then, the trafficking of young women into Western European brothels has increased dramatically.


The UK is the country of choice for Eastern European traffickers

British investigators, struggling to keep up with what for them is a relatively new development, say the criminals are making millions.

Trafficking young women is as profitable as drugs and arms sales but without the same risks.

And increasingly the young women are being recruited by people they know and trust.

I heard of women sold by childhood friends, neighbours and even cousins.

And although many of the women know there will be sex work involved, there are others who simply expect to work as waitresses or au pairs.

Local case workers told me about two teenage girls in a small village whose neighbour personally reassured their parents the girls would be safe overseas. She then sold them.

When they finally escaped from a foreign brothel and returned to the village to accuse her, no-one believed them.

Many of these cases are simply one person's word against another's.

And in Lithuania, anyone involved in sex work, even a victim of trafficking, is unlikely to be taken seriously.

Trawling for women

In a sprawling prison in rural Lithuania I met one of the few traffickers to be convicted.

Haroldas slouched in his chair, his prison number round his neck, watched by an armed guard.

Of course they ended up in brothels, he said, but they must have known what they were getting into

Yes, he shrugged, he had trafficked women. He had lost count how many - maybe 12 to 20.

He described how he travelled round villages, asking about young women who might need jobs and befriending them.

First I just offered work locally, he said. Then I would invite them to a party and get to know them. Finally I would offer them a job abroad.

Of course they ended up in brothels, he said, but they must have known what they were getting into.

I asked him if he thought the amount of trafficking was increasing. "Definitely," he said. In fact it is growing so fast, he is worried.

"I've got a daughter," he added. "I'm frightened she might get caught up in it too."

In the capital, Vilnius, I joined two police specialists who tipped back lazily in their chairs and with a smirk showed me pictures of semi-naked women offering themselves on the internet.

They had to balance their anti-prostitution work, they said, with other duties: stopping illegal disposal of oil and prosecuting people who owned more than one cat or dog.

Finally, they telephoned one of the online prostitutes, agreed a price and set off to trap her.

Their sting took place in a set of cramped rooms in a filthy housing block.

When I arrived, two young women were slumped dejectedly on a low sofa, filling in arrest papers.

The wallpaper was damp and peeling. Pictures of naked women cut from porn magazines were stuck to the walls.

Back at the police station, two other women - these Ukrainian women in their 20s - had just been arrested for prostitution.

They said they arrived in Lithuania the previous week, expecting to work in a massage parlour - only to find they had been sold to a brothel owner.

Afterwards, the police officer shook his head. He did not believe a word of it, he said.

In the meantime, young women are being sold into UK brothels in steadily growing numbers.

Catching the traffickers is one way of tackling it. But reducing demand is another.

In Lithuania, I was asked: "What's Britain doing to change attitudes towards prostitution?"

Or as one case worker asked me: "Why is trafficking so profitable - and why do British men want to buy sex with very young, very terrified women?"

I saw large discusion about girls in Lithuania. i will try to explain some facts about girls and prices in Vilnius.
Vilnius is the most expensive town in Lithuania, but comparing with other west europe towns it's quite cheap.
The average salary in Vilnius is about 500 USD
Also some interesting facts :
In Vilnius is about 10 strip clubs, but prices to high and in most cases you don't have a chance get a to fuck .
probably the best way go to bar or disco , but a little bit risky, cause there are some groups which is targeting foreigners and trying to rob them. The best and safest way is to ask a bartender. He will show you a girl or give all necessary information.
The last way is to use daily paper for example "Lietuvos rytas", but you need translation , cause all annoucments in lithuanian language.
The prices for girl may vary from 5 USD (in railway district, but all of them are terrible) for a blow job up to a 500 per night for a high class prostitute. The average price for a call girl is about 40 -50 USD.
If you a living in hotel you may meet girls in a hotel bar or ask bartender. This is most safe and expensive way. Good luck

a few info ... my gf is =from vilnius and she was dancer there, and my previous one was from kaunas, what i can say is :
- salaries : they did not increase so much during the last years much, so it s still from 250 to 500 / month
- true there are some mafia ( it s called business from russia and local ) which live like in moscow but mostly the country is safe
- the only reason to pay more than 100 euros a night is because you are tourist and do not negotiate prices, and this is your responsibility,
so please stop paying 200 to 700 euros or dollars to girls !!!!!!!!!
- to get girls you can go to strip shows but then do not pay bottle to girl , just ask her phone and invite her after the show or the next day, when she is in club she should ask 100 or 150 for an hour, out of club it will eb the same but for the night and she will keep it all !
- discos are possible but more risky, approach girls when they smile, but do not aks them if they work, you d be beaten on the next second if they are there to dance, just wait a minute or two discussing the country events an she will ask, if not aks eher what she is doing after you will know
- streets are ok if you have a car, do not pay more than 50 for an hour and 100 night, if not ask a taxi driver who you know , he will lead you to private cars where four or more girls are waiting to be chosen and taken back to hotel, then 100 t 150 night
hope it will be useful but please never never pay more than 150 !!!!!! it s already twice more than alocal !
for 500 euros you can hire a private assistant in lit so ....

Right guys - i've read a lot of crap on this site about how to get laid in Vilnius. Let me put the record straight - i've just come back from a 3 day visit and i have the latest information.
First of all, do not go to the big strip clubs advertised all over the papers/guides if you're looking for sex. These are ridiculously expensive (250 UK pounds) and not all the girls offer this anyway. We went to the Eden club and paid 8 pounds to enter (normally 16 pounds but the cabbie got us in half price). There were around 10 girls in there - we were the only guys. We bought a drink (beer a fiver, bottle of wine 20 pounds) and were approached by the girls. No real pressure to do anything although they will mount you asking to perform a personal dance in the public (cost is up to you - we paid 5 pounds). They have an extensive menu from which to choose but only a mug would select anything from there. 60 pounds if you want a girl to escort you to another bar for an hour. Private dances 30 pounds etc. No sex was on offer. I asked my girl if she couldn't make an exception but it was a no go area. basically i would only go there to gawp at the lovely girls for an hour and have a couple of dances - this way you only get stung for around 30 pounds. I think most of the clubs operate this way.
The only way to get sex is to arrange for a girl to come to your room. I got a taxi driver to arrange this for me and he got me a gorgeous Russian girl Valentina to come to my room. Beforehand he told me it would be 60 pounds for the hour and he was true to his word. She was a gorgeous slim babe who gave me fantastic cum once service plus massage in my room. The Conti hotel where i stayed didn't bat an eyelid and we showered together and had great fun for an hour. To be honest, the cabbies are your best source of information - mine was Vova (+370 677 64568). Top bloke and he delivered.
Otherwise, flash the cash and pull a local girl. I met a gorgeous local in a casino and we hung out for the evening. Although she didn't put it out, we did everything but and it was much more satisfying...

average statistic salary in lithuania is 450 - 500 USD per month. Most of my friends are young middle-level managers and earn at least 1000 USD per month.

so it is much better than 700 USD a year

as for pros 45 USD per hour is just a normal price fro call girl. You can find their ads in biggest daily.

Usually the clue is to know the pubs/bars where the girls hang out. Unfortunately I don't know much about Vilnius. But all other places/countries I've been you would be able to get a girl for around 50 $. Can't understand the guys who claims it costs 100 $ or more. If they pay that much they are wrecking the market for the average Joe.

Hey guys - enough fighting - all we want to know is how do we get laid in Vilnius without paying through the nose. So far all i've gleamed is from Discodani and the Broadway club. Does anybody have any constructive comments about affordable, non-rip-off action in Vilnius? I'm over there next month with 3 mates and we'll avoid places like Waterworld etc but where else do we go? Are there any smaller non-rip-off clubs around. Is the only solution to ask the local taxi drivers? What about day-time action in any apartments etc? Are any of these so-called rip-off clubs worth it just for a fun strip-tease? Please advise and lets cut out this slanging match..!!
