Has anyone tried this place? Says that it's an educational centre ( students learning "the trade" ).

I tried once by going in and asking the frontdesk gal. Korean place. Total legit beauty parlour. Nothing fancy here. Don't bother asking for extras, they'll just stare at you funny.

BTW: I've "asked" every salon on Cambie between Broadway to King Edward. All legit places. That stretch of Cambie is "clean" as far as I'm concerned.

I used to get regular HJ's at a school along Cambie but it was definately hush hush between me and the girl. It was totally against the rules and she offered first. I never asked. So I guess you never know for sure till you try. The massage was only 20 bucks so I figured the worst thing that could happen is I get a cheap massage. I haven't seen her around since she graduated so I keep my eyes peeled whenever I pass one of these legit places hoping she found a job in the industry here somewhere.

I heard that Lisa has sold the business to a new owner sometime after the newyear.

The establishments in this area are quite conservative, probably due to their close proximity to city hall. The new owner might have a different outlook on specials but I would imagine that in alll of these places, the girls are afraid of exposure to city officials or police. (just some speculation)

Due to the competition in this area (5 or 6 within a few blocks) I would imagine some would be offering specials just to stay in business.

There is a place on Cambie and 20th (or around there) that I recently visited. The name escapes me...it's something like M... Education. It appears to be a beauty/massage centre that takes students.

I was there only for the massage because my shoulder was hurting and didn't care if they offer 'extras' or not.

I say that they might offer 'extras' because the room that I was in had a few BRAs (strapless) laying around on a shelf. I can't think of any reason why they would there if it's a 100% legit place... but I can be totally wrong here.

It was .50 for 1hr. Forgot to mention that I didn't ask or rec'd any 'extras'. In fact, I had my pants on the whole time because I just wanted a shoulder massage.

Another indication that they might offer 'extras' is that she asked for tips at the end. She was NOT pushy and was very polite about it. I think that's how she mades her 'wage'. Therefore, I think they might offer the 'extras' just to get the tips.

These are mainly beauty salon for ladies. On rare occasions, men are allowed to have massage. Any ladies there want a brown for tip would be working at Prosper city or Swan Lake. Those ladies spent weeks practicing Facial and Body Slimming for ladies.

With all due respect, I think you should do your reserach before posting a reply. There were at least 2 other men in the place where I got my massage so I doubt it was just a rare occurance; maybe there was a full moon that day!

You might be right about the other places on Cabmie but I'm not talking about the other places... I'm talking about one specific place that 'sumeforum.xxxreeze' was asking about.

Who said the lady was asking a brown for tip?? What the hell are you smoking??

When I went to Lisa's, it certainly was not a very good massage at all. The girl was very nice, attractive and friendly and you are accurate about the prices but she gave me a very very weak massage - without even touching the muscles - probably just on the skin layer and she kept being surprised when she asked me if it was hurting and I said no.

I would go back if there were any extras but for a massage - no.

Not much chance of extras here, mother and daughter trying to run things. Mainly exist on low cost facials for low budget customers. (female students, $19 for a facial)

Don't know how anyone could make any money working for them, so unlikely they will have any good talent working for them other than friends trying to help them out.
