I know that the owner of this place has been reviewed many times, but i do feel since she moved from her home to a studio, it warrants a new review and a new thread about her.

Took an appointment in her new place of work. It is a former residential place that has been turned into a work office. Which gives us a homey feeling when you come in. Was greeted by Irina who introduced me to her lovely receptionist. Was offered a drink while waiting my room to be ready.

The massage room is huge with plenty of space. Small inconvenient, the shower is only available outside the room. At least the walking around is worth it, because the shower is a gazillion miles better than the winky-dinky stuff we generally have access in a mp. Covered with black tiles and ample space to fit three persons in it. You can move around at will and take the time to make yourself as presentable as you can get. Once the cleaning up is done you get back to your room where Irina was welcoming me.

Much has been said about her massage technique so for the sake of originality i will only comment on the fact that for such a woman of her size, she's way stronger than i expected. She works your body like a piano. However in terms of piano style she's more Cecil Taylor than Diana Krall using hands, forearms, elbows with pinpoint precision. Fortunately for our eyes, it's the other way around lookwise.

Throughout the session, i felt like i was with a family doctor, i mean by that she's all business but at the same time she's really caring for her customer/patient and she's going for a less superficial way of communicating.

The hot towel treatment at the end of the session is a great touch of class

As far as time goes, i took an appointment at 2:00 and when i left it was 3:45, so it is a far cry from those places that rushes you out as soon as you get in.

To use an old slogan, Can't beat the real thing.

In case anyone fails to read between the lines, this place is 100% legit, no happy finish and don't ask for one. So if you are going for a rub and tug, you are in the wrong place. Massage only.

Was covered the whole time by a towel the only part not covered was the one she was working on.. At the time she had a special that we would not pay any taxes, so it was 70 $ without taxes.

Had 80 on me, insisted that she keeps the change.

As the last line of my post said, can't beat the real thing and she's the real thing.

As soon as i get my expenses into control, i will be back.

Despite my back, I decided to go see Irina, since we had been chatting, and was amazed at her place and service. Of course, this is a professional place, as we called it some time ago, a TMP (Therapeutic Massage Place). May I say that Irina's place is awesome, given her budget, she did wonders. The oak floors, the mouldings are impeccable, the shower is amazing. And what to say about the SPA. Very scandinavian. Kudos to you Irina. I wish you success to the scale of your ambitions, all deserved. This is a pristine place, well worth the time and reasonable expense.

Irina saw my condition, and made sure with pillows and cushions that I would be comfortable. She then proceeded to make sure my muscles would receive what they needed, she removed all the spasms and tension. From the shoulders, the back, my hips, legs... Nothing was left out, all of course respecting her strict guidelines for a real therapeutic massage.

Her technique shows the training she has, and she puts a lot of energy in the massage she gives. I could see her sweat over my massage, which goes to show the care and effort she gave me.

I am walking much better today, the only draw back is that I will have to go see her more frequently from now on...

Hey Argon,

This place is one of the kind. The quality of the decor and service is 100%.

I am sure that is giving the run for their money verses the other clinics in that area (L'Absolu, Ovarium ect).

The only thing is: I did not get any Shaving Gel :-( [sad] [xoxoxo]

As a birthday treat, i made a trip to this spa. Place still looks great, and the massage by Irina is obviously top notch, gotta say her chops are the best i've ever received. They were like music to my ears.

If you go for a serious and high quality massage, don't go further than this place.

Had a kink in my neck, so I stopped first thing in the AM without a reservation.

Irina pointed me out to Varvara which was available. I spent an amazing 45 minutes with this amazingly beautiful lady, and she gave me an awesome massage, of course without any sexual options. Just a straight massage, and very strong and efficient. I walked out of there a new man. I very strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a good physical improvement, but I forgot, I believe she is leaving for 6 months to a carribean mandate... sorry to see her leave, but I am sure she will be replaced with great talent.

On the way out, Irina gave me a shave that was just amazing. My boys felt great and her expert hands handled them in an amazing way. Expert service, but once again, very straight.

I am very much dissapointed myself that Varvara goes to Turks for so long- but she just hates winter! She is probably the best massotherapy hope in Montreal- as nobody is better and faster learner, has such hands and such strengh and energy as she is and does. She is my personnal favourite massotherapist, and to my greatest luck , she is my youngest princess-sister, - so I will miss her much more than any of her allready numbered clientele.
We will be waiting for her impationately!
She is allways almost fully booked, but I have no idea how bad it is going to be when she will be back.
Varvara rocks!!!

P.S: if you ever decide to go to Carribean Club Med, you can't go wrong with Varvara as your massotherapist.
