LE cracking down in BBY

Hi all,

Saw the line up at Foxy's before a Nucks game last week and was somewhat impressed with the selection. The owner sure seemed interested in making my stay special. Something didn't feel right though and left. As I walked to my car, two LE cruisers pulled up and sat there. I was curious what they would do so I pulled out and parked across the street and down. They went into the place and stayed for at least 10 minutes. Boy was my heart racing. I had never experienced this in my time in Victoria so this is a good lesson.

I then went to Lotus off North Road to check out the lineup there. The first girl came out all flustered and said they were closed for a little while. Asking whatzup she replied that they were being "audited or something". Walking out I didn't see any LE's parked so walked through the tunnel heading south. Sure enough two more were parked there.

This is not unexpected in BBY. The local news papers are crying about how many SWs and DDs are along Edmonds. Looks like LE is spreading its wings and making themselves 'seen'.

Obvious recommendation is to stay alert and frequent the MP's in YVR instead.

What would happen if the LE cops were to drop into the massage parlour while I'm there? Let's say I was just checking out the lineup and LE cops walked in; would I get into trouble? I mean, I figure it's a licensed establishment in commercial zoning; or is there something I'm missing here?

If she has on all her clothes and is dressed properly (ie: not in a bikini or lingerie), you will get a stern lecture from LE. If she is undressed in any way, you're in trouble.

Hey Guys,

This all started late last year. LE has been getting tough in BBY and Richmond. I guess the city councils with the cooperation of the RCMP want to control the amount of illegal activity in each of these cities. I got caught at Accupointe late last year and haven't been to a MP in either city since. I'd love to see Lucy again though............

Just to let you know I have been busted in an MP before and there are some important facts to rememeber. ANY worthwhile MP should have measures in place that will make a visit from LE not that big a deal. Just remember to always have ID, answer any questions to the best of your knowledge and NEVER EVER say that you paid for anything BUT a massage no matter what LE tells you.
It happened that I was caught in a very comprimising situation with a client but nothing really happened because we both used common sense and I got a very "stern" lecture.

LE banks on the fact that most clients are married and cheating so they can scare you into giving info in case they charge you or contact your residence, there is nothing in law that gives them the right to hassle you that way, if they charge the operator of the MP with a bawdy house charge and try to get you on being present, tell them to take a hike, (unless you are caught in the act) everyone is free to walk into a licensed est. and ask questions or look around, perhaps eforum.xxx members should start a committee or similar to make presentation to LE in BBY and Rmd as to their fear tactics being unjustified and indeed illegal. this could be done throug a lawyer or even a law student could handle this, after all the City Halls make revenues of these establishments and they are trying to suck and blow at the same time. Only SP's should be allowed that attempt!!!!!!!!!

This must be one reason why Burnaby and Richmond have raised the license fees for massage parlours to $ 3000/year; they slowly want rid of them. I'm not surprised that LE is cracking down; raising license fees is a convenient way of slowly shutting the businesses down without lifting the licenses. A license fee for a MP in Vancouver is only $ 170, so I guess they were all moving out to the suburbs cause the fee was so cheap.

Just look at Lavenda on West Pender. The owner there owned Toh Far Studio on No. 5 Road in Richmond before it was busted. Why should she operate for $ 3000/year in Richmond when the fee for operating downtown is only $ 170/year?

Anyone heard if LE is cracking down in Surrey too?

I think LE cracking down on places has to do with the direction the city wants to go... the question to ask is if Surrey wants the MPs gone or not...

The license fee is the main reason why there are so many micro opening all across the city. There is no way the city can kill this ancient business.

As the number of micros grew to a uncontrollable number, the "normal" residents will start noticing them and more pressure will be put to the city councils. The situation will get worst.

The wise thing for the City Councils to do is to keep their eyes close for MP like before and only focus on illegal SPs in the neighbourhood. Most MPs are operated in business areas (and can be controlled via licensing) and the disturbing factors are relatively low.

The problem is RARELY licensing guys . The problem is illigal immigrants and sometimes underagers or SPs with "no ID" .

I've had the unfortunate event (and heartracing!) of having my door kicked in during a session . All I got was a cocky grin because I am an of age Canadian . It didn't matter that I was nude . Luckily all my coworkers had their papers and passports . No more asian MPs outside of downtown for me though . Ugh .

It's rude , intimidating and scares the crap out of our clients but nobody gets in trouble if they play by the rules and I for one am glad that they are cracking down on illigals - aka human slave trade . We as SPs shouldn't have to work in a licensed facility and still worry about having to directly compete with girls that will do anything for a buck becuase of their situation . I really worry about the health of them and the customers that they pass on .
