A Kirkwood massage therapist is facing serious allegations following an incident with a client last month. Jon Lindbergh, 24, has been charged with felony sexual abuse, including one count of sodomy and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, as reported by FOX 2 Now. The charges stem from an event that left a victim "paralyzed with fear" during a post-partum massage session where Lindbergh allegedly touched her in private areas without consent, as mentioned on KSDK.
Lindbergh, whose professional conduct has been under scrutiny, is currently detained with a cash-only bond set at $100,000. The KSDK news mentioned that although a court appearance has yet to be solidly scheduled, Lindbergh's legal representative Nicholas Williams has already initiated a defense, stating, “Mr. Lindbergh, a trained and licensed massage therapist for more than a year, denies the charges and looks forward to his day in court.”
Additional details reveal that the alleged sexual assault occurred on September 24 at a MassageLuXe location in Kirkwood, where Lindbergh was employed. The victim reported the incident to the Kirkwood Police. This information was highlighted in a probable case statement obtained by First Alert 4. Missouri Division of Professional Registration records confirm that Lindbergh has held a massage therapy license since January 2022 in St. Louis County.
The local spa chain, MassageLuXe, has been contacted for comment regarding the allegations against their former employee but has not yet issued a response. As the case develops, public attention has begun to sharply focus on industry practices and the measures in place to ensure client safety.
