PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 44-year-old owner of a Kent County massage parlor has been arrested for allegedly running a business where illicit sexual acts were taking place.

The woman from Hamilton owns Just Divine massage at 5181 Plainfield Ave. NE, one of the highest attended massage parlors in Kent County with mostly male customers traveling from around Michigan seeking out its services.

A search warrant was conducted Thursday where evidence of pay-for-sex taking place inside the business was collected, according to Kent County Sheriff's Office.

The business was licensed in the State of Michigan, however no licensed massage therapist were employed, deputies said.

The woman was taken to Kent County Jail on the following charges:

  • Keeping a House of Prostitution,
  • Prostitution Pandering,
  • Prostitution/Accepting Earnings,
  • and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime

She will be arraigned in the 63rd District Court at a date to be determined.
