Kamur

I went to Kamur over the weekend and I can tell you it was the biggest waste of time Ive spent in CR. I dont want to offend anyone that thinks its a good club but the word needs to get out that its a waste.

1st off its far from the Del Rey, I drove so it wasnt a big deal but its by the old Pacific railroad depot.
I went in there and it was mostly ticos (got no problem with that) but I didnt blend it at all which was uncomfortable.
I was there for over an hour before a dancer approched me for a private dance which is 11 dollars for 3 dances.
The girls were ugly as hell, trust me when I tell you it was 2-7 at best. Del Rey has much better looking women.

I showed my CRT card and he gave me the coupon for the free drink but I found out everyone gets a free drink when they 1st arrive.

Ok what pisted me off the most was when I left the guy working the parking lot said I owed 6 dollars to park. I said no one ever told me about the parking fee and he said it does exist. I started going back inside to argue the fee and he said "its ok its ok" no fee tonight for you.

So overall I would not go back and was thinking that they wanted to sell that POS bar for what was it? 700K or something. funny.

Everyone knows that its only $3 to park at Kamur. You must have had one of their double spaces. (sorry, couldn't resist)

I've read in some other folks posts that Kamur could be disappointing on weekends.

I'm working on a plan for my upcoming trip. An excursion to Kamur was planned. Should I try for a weeknight, perhaps?

Any ideas?

I know nothing of the parking space normally just a small propina for watching the car is more than suffcient...

As far as the drink COUPON... well everyone gets a drink coupon but they pay admission we dont....

They usually give a parking coupon upon entering. It says 500 colones right on it... $1 dollar basically. Are you sure you didnt misunderstand the message. They dont speak English in the parking lot.

Yeah maybe it was just a bad night, I dont know. I just didnt like the feel of the place, Del Rey, Key Largo, IDEM, and ZB are all great but something about this placed rubbed me the wrong way.

I never was a fan of the place had a so so visit near year ago and never when back.San Jose has so many outher options that don't have $50 private rooms. rbc100

I've got to agree that Kamur is a waste of time. I went there twice. A Thursday and a Saturday and I was very disappointing.

One saving grace was that when we went there on Thursday (before I picked up my VIP card), we found out from a local that drinks were free with the cover. Drink all night for free? Yep. From the regular drink menu. If you want specials like 1800 vesus their well brand you have to pay but otherwise free.

That said, I thought the girls were at best just OK. It was hotter than hell and all the girls were sweating badly and body odor was common. The private dances are NOT private. It's like calling a booth at the local Waffle House a private table. The girls didn't seem to care if you were there or not. Both times I had dances, I had to go and ask.

Anyway, thats my 2 cents.

I'm sorry...but after having a 2 hour late night unwind stop at Kamur Thursday night sandwiched between my 2 favorite Dominicanas, massages at the bar, double sized shots of Tequila, viewing 3-4 NEW flaca dancers...all for $50 tab...I have to wonder if some of you guys go to the same Kamur I do 8) . Sure...I realize different strokes for different folks...and I dont try hooking up guys with gals here anymore since a 10 in my eyes may be a 5 in others...and vica versa. But...I have to say I still have the most consistant relaxing and entertaining time at Kamur from ALL the other options in town. And I know ALL the other options (I think). As has been stated on many threads related to Kamur, there is nothing consistant ANYWHERE in Costa Rice...but more times than not, I find Kamur pretty dependable for natural friendly girls...no silicone, few tatoos. Just the way I likes em... :twisted:

T Man, As you know I frequented Kamur in the past but no more. I feel Le Grillion and Pantera Rosa pass Kamur on low key approach to pushing drinks, attractive chicas and just about anything goes at Le Grillion in the private booths. Have not taken a chica to the rooms at Pantera Rosa yet but pretty much did what I wanted at a table.

I hear ya Twarag...I guess I just find Kamur more relaxing by knowing some of the girls and staff. I was one of the first promotors of Grillon on this board, but the place is a dump compared to Kamur and the grating voice of announcer lady for 20+ years...well, I can only take 30 minutes of her constant interruptions. Pantera Rose...sure, you can get full service in their tiny doored cubicals...but in my experience they are smelly and hardly fit both you and the girl. I have experienced the same amount of drink pressure at Grillon and Pantera as the Kamur. And neither joint in my opinion has the quality and natural looking girls that Kamur has. Thats the main factor for me. But I know all dont like what I like...thank God 8)
