how do I introduce myself?
I don't want to cause problems with his family but I do believe that would be he repercussion as he has hidden it. I don't know if he wants me in his life and I now have a little girl of my own. I would like some advice how how to introduce myself to him for the first time - first way of contact.... letter, phone or face to face if I can get his address...
 
I like Amy Smith's comment also. Just one added thing, do take culture and custom into account. Depending on the circumstances, in my culture, children sharing only one parent might not meet. Hence my liking Amy's answer. Letting your father do the introductions will be a good way to tell how things will go.
 
Well first go through meeting your dad and im sure he will take it from there to introduce you to them only when your ready. But when you meet your dad, it may be a bit awkward at moments as i have a sister as well and when i met her there were moments were you think what do i say now? You just be friendly, talk about your family ask about his family, he might even have a few photos to show you as well of them, and time just flies, i'm sure that everything will go okay no need for you to worry :) Hug, Kiss and be chatty :)
 
Consider his feelings and see if you can meet him alone without his family present. Then introduce yourself.
