It is weird to talk to introduce yourself to a girl , then say" i talk

I said that because i was in this class , thats is what i said: I said hi then introduced myself , then i said it this her 1st year here, then the teachers told everyone to stop talking so i said i talk to you later. Just want to know if i screwed up and is that wrong. And later i tried to talk to her , she was talking to her friend though,and she just looked at me and look away , and walked off. Does she hate me , or does is she just busy?
