Is my son ready to potty train at 18 months... And what are some tips to

introduce it to him? Read Details...? My son is 18 months, he doesn't talk much but he has started letting my husband and I know when he has poo-pooed some times. He will come to us, patting his behind and saying poo-poo and sometimes will even lay down in the floor. Now, he doesn't let us know EVERYTIME, but it happens on a daily basis. Also, he has been patting his front side and whining, and wheni check he is always wet-- even if i changed him 20 minutes before. He was grabbing himself in the front and whining and i was curious as to if that meant he may be feeling the need to urinate. We don't have a potty, and i have no idea how to even begin or introduce potty training-- Of course i know that getting a potty is the first step but I was wanting to know if he was ready or not first. I had planned on waiting till this time next year so I was wanting some other advice! Thanks
