introducing newborn to family?

im am pregnant with my 2nd pregnancy 1st baby and i was telling my boyfriend the other day i dont want noone seeing the baby untill its like 2-3 weeks old bc i dont want too and bc its going to be born in winnter time and i dont want the risk of germs.. he told me that im just being greedy and then he asked if i am taking it outside.. and i said yes to the car and stuff when we go out.. and he said i cant bc it will get it sick but i need to shop and stuff.. when is it apropriate (age) to introduce the new one to family and outdoors.... is it better to do it right away .. or wait a little bit

I've always introduced my babies to family and friends right after birth, germs are everywhere including in your house and in the hospital when you deliver. You can't avoid every germ out there and you said you plan on taking the baby outside when you go out. Your baby is going to be exposed to more germs then you can imagine by just simply going to the grocery store.

I've always just asked people to wash thier hands before touching the baby, I've asked people not to touch thier faces, and if someone is sick they generally know better then to come around a newborn.

to your close family u could do it right away but make sure they are not sick and they wash their hands and have clean clothes on and well taking the baby out for a very short amount of time like a few mins is fine but not for too long, wait until the child gets their shots and then u cud take them out after they are about 2 months old and introduce them to the rest of the family and friends

you can take a baby outside as soon as it's born you just have to make sure that it's warm and germs when you feed it the first time it will get your antibodies...so just wash your hands and have your family wash there before they hold the baby it's no big deal and people wont stay away for 2 weeks will come anyway. just relax don't worry these things are not worth worrying or. kids get sick anyway just us common sense.
