Introducing new guinea pig?

Well, my female guinea pig (pringle) was born on October 16th and purchased early December. She just had babies, and we kept the female (patches) who was born on new years eve and now four weeks old. I live in a foster home and can only keep one of the guinea pigs. So my mom said she would take care of pringle until I came home, and I would keep patches. Pringle and patches would only be separated for about a month or less, will pringle remember patches when I bring her back, or will I have to re- introduce?

It's possible, but when you introduce them you are going to have to pay very close attention to them. Usually when introducing females it's pretty peaceful, but it can be tricky. When I introduced my females one was VERY aggressive to the other and I was scared it was going to turn into a fight, but they get along great now. Since Pringle is older she might try to claim dominance on Patches. My older piggie claimed dominance on my younger piggy. But since they have been introduced before, they might remember. But still keep a close eye out for their first few meetings. I haven't heard of many cases where two females cannot get along at all. They just need to work out dominance issues between themselves. Piggies are heard animals and have a natural instinct to want to be with other piggies. In the wild they know they have a better chance of survival with strength in numbers.
