Introducing little male kitten to older female timid cat?

First things first, i found a 6week old kitten abandoned, he was behind my shed? don't know how he got there, but thank god he's fine, except he has nasty little flea friends but that's not a huge problem. He's eating,drinking and going loo in tray. My dad said we could keep him if my older cat got along with him.
The older cats called Fidget and little guys called Ezra.
The problem is, instead of my dad listening to me and the internet on how to introduce cats and kits.
He just placed the baby next to big and she hissed and meowed and sniffed, then Ezra tried cuddling Fidget but she ran away and hid for a night..
Same thing keeps happening, what should i do?

We introduce a new male kitten to our timid female cat she hissed at him for a few years but they are now good mates.
