Introducing kitten to cats?

I know someone who has two cats (a mum cat and her son who is three) and has just bought home a kitten that they have to lookafter for one week. Wht is the best way to introduce them? The kitten is v small and thin and hisses at the older boy who is just tryin to smell her.

if the older boy is cool and will not hurt the lil then just let them together, they'll get used

that is natural and the mum is meowing because she is new but they should get used to each other after a few or so

What I would do is put the kitten in a separate room with the door closed. Put the kittens food, water and litmassageplanetox in the room as well. It will have a space to feel safe. The two cats will be able to get used to the smells of each other without feeling threatened. It sounds like the kitten doesn't feel safe and is warning the older cat. After a day or so you can open the door a crack and let them see each other. Slow introductions are usually the best way to introduce cats to each other.

Normally, just put them together in the same room, and see how they react. Make sure you supervise them though, it case they don't like each other.
