Introducing ferrets to puppy?

I have two ferrets (Both are hobs and are both 8 months old). I recently got a puppy, who has had all his injections and is a boy and about 3 months. The puppy is a German shepherd (Not a cross breed)

What I want to know is some ways of getting the ferrets to get accustomed to the dog being in the house, and hopefully being able to put them in the same room together.

I have tried once today but the dog just got scared and ran away when the ferrets started to jump around.

I can imagine certain breeds of dog aren't allowed near ferrets or many other animals, but i'm not sure if my dog is one of them.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation to me, or could offer help at all?
