i had two ferrets, wasabi and noodles, but noodles has down syndrome and isnt very playful so i rescued another one so wasabi had someone that could play with her..
The new ferret, panda, come from a pretty bad previous family where she was chained up and such.. She has scars all over her so id imagine shes pretty traumatized.. Anyway when i brought panda i introducedmy two and they got along ok.. A bit of fighting for dominance but it was nothing bad.. I brought her home and on the was she was i guess squeeling and hissing at wasabi an noodles.. In the cage they all eat together when i put down food, they sleep together after a bit of squeeling so they seem ok but they are biting at each others necks occassionally.. Well wasabi is biting panda and panda is trying to bite wasabi.. Then they get over it and do their own thing and it continues later on.. Just wondering if that is normal? Panda is loosing fur from it and wasabi has some scratches on her but like i said before, they dont try to kill each other.. Its just a hiss and squeel and a bite and they go back for more a few hours later. I cant seperate them because i only have a small mouse cage.. The onethey are in is a ferret cage, 3 levels with 3 beds but they generally sleep all together..
Is this normal?? Will it pass?? Thanks heaps..
If it matters they are all desexed and wasabi and noodles are both about 15 months oldwhere panda is around 2
