I've had my guinea pig Bella for about a year now and a few months ago her cage mate passed. I decieded I would get her a friend and today I picked up Annie. I read somewhere that you're supposed to put them both in a bath tub to see how they react. I did that and they seemed just fine, they pushed each other a few times and Bella kept climbing over Annie but I think for the most part they did fine. Oh they made a lot of noises though which I don't know if that's good or bad...
Anyways I am getting them a cage tommorrow because I know that guinea pigs can be territorial so I wanted them both to have kind of a clean start.
Am i doing everything right? Also Annies previous owner gave us food and it is way more complex compared to the food that I normally get my pigs, should I switch the food I use to the kind that Annie eats or should I just get Annie to adjust to Bellas food?
Thanks in advance
