Introducing chinchillas - possible?

Okay, so basically I have 3 chinchillas and want to introduce them. 2 of them already live together and have been together for about a year now, and the other one I got quite recently, about 3 months ago.
They are all boys, and the one on his own is seriously lonely, and even though I take him out as much as possible, he always seeks attention and he seems grumpy in his cage. But he is really friendly. And I often go on holiday, in a few months I'll be away for 3 weeks, and my nan comes round every few days, just to feed and give water.
So I was wondering if it is possible to introduce them to each other, or is it too risky? And if yes, how would I go about it? Thanks

YOu can but you need to be really careful best to have a couple of people your chinchillas know to help with the inorduction. It might take a little time. They are best together if they are all neutered as well. Start off by putting their cages next to eachother so they can see eachother everyday. Then Get them out and hold them in different hands. Then Put them close together and let them sniff eachother. The after a few weeks of that if they seem to like eachother put the on on his own down to run then let the others play. If they start nibbling immediatley split them up. Hope that helps a bit.
