Introducing baby to dogs?

Me and my bf are 18 (me) and 19 (him) I left home when i was 16, and did very well. I finished school. We have a 2004 Chevy silverado 2500 ext cab and a 1990 zupped up z24 cavalier. Me and my bf own our home. We have 4 dogs and 2 cats. Live in a really nice community. Me and my bf have talked about this a few times. The thing is I may not be able to have children. I have PCOS, and a fertility problem. So the longer i wait, the doc said the less chances of us having children are. My bf works on the rigs. He isnt home to much. Works a few months then home a few weeks. I work at a mechanic shop. Money is not an issue.

Our dogs are all adults. 3 males and 1 females. Males: 4 year old male working cattle dog, 4 year old neutered border collie. 7 year old male neutered Rottie. 2 year old spayed JRT. My male cattle dog is VERY friendly. Great with children. He is PPT trained however. The border collie is great with kids to. However the JRT and the rottie have never been around kids under 6. How do you get them used to that? Tips? Opinions?

Bring something that smells like a baby would around them before having a kid, it will get them used to the smell of a baby. And when you do have a baby, and when it is brought home, get down at their level and let them sniff its head. Be careful when doing this though, they can get excited and might want to lick the baby, most dogs I have been around do exceptionally well with all ages of children.

make sure hes not cheating on you by "working" just bring the baby home, they will know he/she will and is already a part of the family
