Introducing a new kitten to my cat?

i have a 7 year old persian and she is afraid of new people, she will go an hide if anyone other than my family comes into the house. that being saod, whenever she sees another cat out the window or screen door she will go nose to nose with it. sometimes they will
hiss at each other but sometimes they just sit there. would it be alright to introduce a kitten to her? would she fight with it or would they learn to get along? a barn cat just had kittens and i'm trying to figure out if adopting one is a possiblilty for me

I think you should be okay as long as you make sure both of them aren't let outside for around 4 weeks. By that time your cat will probably be used to the kitten and wont be sulking anymore if that was the case. Not letting your cat outside will stop her running away.

i think maybe if u have one cat, another would be good so it doesnt get lonely but, it really also depends on the other cat to, i had 1 kitten and he was so loving and always wanting to be held because he had no one else to play with and then we got a new kitten, but he was TERRIFIED of people, because he was nervous, so he hid most of the time, but now my 2 cats are SUPER close, the sleep next to each other, and i think maybe your older cat will care for the kitten. it really depends
